We have a black cat that loves fetch! These are his favorite, as a kitten and as an adult cat. Perfect size, perfect squish, donât shred. Last a long timeâsome a year and going. (he also likes to drop them in the toilet.)

I bought these for my two boy cats and they love them. They bounce so well and roll nice and smooth on carpet, tile and wood floors. My guys even carry them in their mouths. They are a hit. You will have lots of fun playing with your fur babies with these.

Turned my cat into an addict!
A little over a year ago, we adopted a mostly black kitten that had been overlooked at the SPCA for the first 7 or 8 months of his life. He was a very large kitten and they quickly moved him to his own cage. Much of his “kittenhood” was essentially robbed from him. Once we adopted him, it was very clear he didn’t have a good understanding of what being a cat was all about. He’s now coming up on 2 years old and still behaves like he’s only a few months old.Sorry for the long intro. “Bang” has been spoiled since we rescued him. He’s had a myriad of toys and countless hours of affection. These balls bounce well on my thick carpet, and they bounce like crazy off harder surfaces. They’re very spongy but heavy enough to throw across the room. BY FAR, these balls have been the best toys ever for his physical growth and happiness. The combination of the lightweight and great bouncing properties challenge his physical skills as he chases after them. He’s gone from his clumsy origins to an incredibly agile cat, and I attribute a good portion of that to these balls.Our game of fetch used to be a once nightly event with a rattling mouse that he quickly lost interest in. As he matured, his interest seemed to fade until a new toy was introduced. Some nights, he actually either forgot about playtime or didn’t have any interest in it…….until we got these soccer balls. We’ve had them for several months and he never misses a night of play anymore. More often than not, he pesters me or someone else to play fetch with him several times per day. Each time he goes after it with the same zeal.These ARE NOT the balls with the “made in china” stickers that seem impossible to get off. The black markings on the balls aren’t stickers either. This four pack came with a single blue, green, yellow, and pink ball. They were less than $5 and worth way more than that when I consider the “bang” for the buck. Take a small gamble on the happiness of your cat. We’re enjoying his addiction to these balls, though not half as much as him.—UPDATE—These balls have survived nightly abuse for well over a year now. His favorites are the yellow ones (cat physiology explanation, anyone?) and they are both pretty ragged looking at this point. I can barely open the drawer his toys are stored in without him waiting for the nightly game to start.

Good value, a little smelly.
These are nice!Very soft, so no slipping or falling if you step on it. It often hits my cat in the face and she doesn’t mind.An energetic pet would probably rip these to shreds, as it’s just soft foam. My cat isn’t, so that’s fine with me.My only complaint is that they have a strong chemical smell. My cat wouldn’t touch them at first, but the smell is decreasing some and I think I’ll put them out in the sun so they can off-gas more.Very good value, and overall I’m pleased.They bounce a little, which is fun.

I used to have these years ago from a pet store and all my 5 cats over that time period loved these toys. I just bought these again because my old ones were all torn up and some were lost. I have two cats now and they love them. I like that they’re quiet toys and still lots of fun for them.Note: They do have a strong smell when you open up the box. I tried to air them out for a few hours but that didn’t help. I’m not worried about it though.Pro tip: Put the toys inside a bag of cat nip, shake the bag, and then give your cat the toy.

My Cat’s Favorite Toy
My cat loves these. He picks them up and carries them around, and they are so soft I don’t have to work about him breaking his teeth. However, he doesn’t tear them up, which would be the only concern if you have a cat that likes to deconstruct things.

Smell Awful, Cat Winced at Smell & Backed Away.
I got these for my cat and I had not given them to him prior to typing this review because they smell so horrible. I decided to see if my instincts were right and I was correct. I just tried tossing 1 of these to my cat and he got all excited because it’s a ball, but as soon as he SNIFFED it, he winced and backed away. See, told you they smell REALLY bad! The smell immediately gets on your hands too.I had the balls airing out because they smell SO horrible for over a week now. The chemical smell is overpowering. I do have a sensitive sniffer, but imagine how bad these smell to my cat who has an even better sense of smell than me?! Clearly they smell bad because of how he reacted to them.The material is a very lightweight foam that appears as though it will come apart/tear easily…. another reason why I don’t want my cat to have them is that I’m worried that he could potentially get a piece of foam off of one of these and choke on it. I guess I don’t have to worry too much, since he won’t even get close enough to the stinky thing anyways.Honestly, these are a waste of money. I probably should’ve returned them, but the packaging got tossed and I didn’t feel like having to run these out to ship back. I may still try to return them though.In case you haven’t figured out by this point, I do NOT recommend these.

Our cats love these balls. One likes to fetch and retrieve and is the first thing it goes for after a few cuddles when coming home. The other is a little more selfish wanting them to himself. Either way, cats love them, great value.
