Both cats and kittens really enjoy chasing these springs around the house. As an added benefit, they donât hurt adult feet if you happen to step on them. Theyâre easy to wash and they are very economical.

The perfect cat toy — after modifications
These have been a staple for our cat’s enjoyment since we got him three years ago. They’re everywhere throughout our house. Guests have returned home only to find one in their suitcase.However, sometime back our cat had a sore in the corner of his mouth and lower lip. The vet could not determine what it was and gave us a liquid medication to apply as needed. The condition would get better and then come back. These springs often get tangled in electrical cords or stuck under a piece of furniture, and the cat will pull at them and sometimes the end will snap back out of his mouth. That got me thinking that the relatively sharp ends might be grabbing at his lip when they snap. So I tried blunting the ends of every, single spring toy in the house by using needle nose pliers to bend back about 3/16″ to1/4″ of each end onto itself as shown in the photo. I’ve been doing this for about four months and there have been no issues with lip sores. Having to make this modification is the only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review and ending with the first paragraph. While it would increase the cost, it would be wonderful if the manufacturer would blunt the ends so this modification isn’t necessary.

Fun for kitty and humans
I bought these for my bengal cat. She has SO much energy that sometimes I can not keep up with her. Since these can go in their own when she comes up and attacks them, they can keep her entertained for A LONG TIME. I def recommend, itâs cute to watch her freak out over them too. I will say tho – they are thin enough that they go under doors pretty easily. You may have to retrieve them a time or two. ð

These are an absolute must for cats…we bought some similar some years back and all the cats loved them, took a lot of searching to find them again now but so worth the trawling the net for them, such a simple thing but hours of fun to be had with them. Recommend any cat owner to buy these…but more than one though….you will be looking every where for them lol. Just wish they were available in more places took me days to find them at a realistic price and delivery charge.

I observe that cats are peculiar in their tastes, certainly each cat to his toy (likely as not a scrunchie of paper, q-tip, or beer bottle cap). I am usually more engaged by store bought toys than the cat – I have a shortlist of exceptions – but I wouldn’t want the neighbours to think my cat deprived. Now, my cat Jeeves loves to bat things around, but also fetches with the tenacity of a terrier. The spring toys prove to be the ultimate for both! When he’s on his own, they bounce and roll in unexpected directions, fight back, are easily tossed about with glee, and can be carried about with ease. They are also superb for throwing indoors – just enough weight to travel with fair accuracy and distance, not too much as to cause damage or injury. They are sturdy and endure much love, are bright enough to see easily, and are economical to buy in bulk! They disappear and reappear at an amazing rate! The larger size might seem a bit much for a petite cat or kitten, but the two sizes compliment each other nicely, each lending itself to slightly different inspirations. We think these spring toys are a winner!
