Best crystal cat litter in price and quality, great odor reduction
After starting to use crystal cat litter, I’ve gone through many different brands, types and price ranges, but I always come back to So Phresh. I still find that this has the best odor reduction/minimization and best longevity. I have one cat, and I usually only have to change her litter once a month. Most people don’t even realize I have a cat until they see her. I don’t recall how long the entire bag lasted me last time, but I think it was well over 8 months.Other brands I found do not reduce odor as much and were all really dusty, which was terrible for my allergies. This one did have some dust, but very minimal when compared to other brands. I did read some reviews where people say that the crystals are too large. They are larger than other brands for sure (see attached photo), although they look smaller than I remember, so maybe they have reduced the size a little? My cat doesn’t mind the size, but if you find that your cat is picky with their feet and the feeling of bigger litter, that may be something to consider. I bought this in store the first time, so I bought the scoop that goes with this, which is made to scoop bigger crystals. It might not be as compatible with the standard (smaller) scoops.Lastly, I know a lot of people like to scoop the poop away and then mix the entire litter, but I found that reduced the life span of the crystal litter and increased the odor for me. Instead, I usually just scoop away the poop and try to scoop around the soiled areas. I will shake the pan to settle the crystals, but that’s it. Of course, this might not work for everyone, especially people with multiple cats.

Very dusty!
It does a decent job of absorbing, but does not control odor well and is the dustiest litter I have ever used. We have to run the fan every time we change the litter because of the huge dust cloud. It doesn’t work for our home, but if you’re using it outdoors or in a very well ventilated area it would probably be okay.
