Well functioning tiny little digital thermometer
What you got here is a pair of tiny little thermometer / humidity gauge that works pretty well. They are not back lit in any fashion, and use very little power, each running off a single AAA battery. Having used similar devices in the past I imagine the battery will work for a very long time. The screen is easy to read at glance.Placed together they read pretty close on temp/humidity levels, at least, good enough in my opinion. They even update stats pretty frequently, the manual says about every 2 seconds or so I have observed that to be true.The back battery compartment does not slide off like you think it would (or at least I thought it would) and if you try you are going to realize that nothing is moving. Instead, I used my pocket knife and simply lifted either edge of the compartment and it instantly unsnaps allowing you to put a battery in as well as change the temp setting from Fahrenheit to Celsius or vice versa via little button. It’s all quite easy to figure out. Once the battery cover is snapped back in it’s in there solid. It’s a well built tiny little device you can stick just about anywhere.We heat our house entirely wood a wood burning stove, so I’ve got these things in basically every room in my house to monitor temps, and if you use firewood to heat you know how amazingly dry the air will get. These let me know when I’m about to start generating enough static electricity to really surprise the cat, and when it’s time to start plugging in humidifiers. Really no complaints on this, does what I want it to do with no frills.

Simple, inexpensive, and seem accurate once settled
The PFTTDD Small Digital Hygrometers are everything they are stated to be. With two units in a kit for under $10, they’re a good value too.The hygrometers come two to a box and are simple devices. The hardest thing to figure out is opening the battery cover to add a AAA battery. Hint: you pry it off, a fingernail will do the trick. It seems like it would be wrong because it’s not easy, but the battery cover is fairly secure.Once the cover is removed, there is the slot for the battery as well as a single button that switches from Celsius to Fahrenheit. That’s the only control this device has.I was worried when I first powered them up, as they read a few degrees higher than a known good thermometer, and the humidity readings were a few percent off from each other despite sitting in the same place. But after about 45 minutes they stabilized and the temperatures agreed with each other and the separate thermometer. The humidity values also were very close.For a simple readout of temperature and humidity, these are great little devices and you can’t beat the price. I have one to keep next to my 3D printer to keep an eye on humidity and how it may affect the filament. The other I will stick in my shop just to keep an eye on the conditions there.

Accurate, inexpensive, thermometer with humidity measurement
Picked up a pack of these to use in my garage and home office to keep track of ambient temperature. Having a humidity display was a plus.These are basic devices but do a very good job for the price. Accuracy is very good – checked between each other and an independent device they were basically identical (between each other), and within less than one degree F and one % RH of a home weather station, which is well within the stated accuracy by the manufacturer. I should also say that I don’t know which device is actually reading true, probably my weather station is off a couple of tenths and these are also off a couple of tenths but this is totally acceptable.They do require that you supply batteries but that is expected for the low cost and I would rather use my own name brand battery anyway. When first powered up, they take a few minutes to stabilize to ambient temp and humidity but after that respond quickly to changes in temperature and humidity.A good option if what you are looking for is a small inexpensive local temperature/humidity measurement device.

Mostly Accurate
These Thermometer/Hygrometers are fairly standard fair. They sit on the counter at a nice angle and have a very wide field of view. The numbers are large and clear making them easy to read at nearly any angle. It is easily switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit with a little button in the battery compartment. AAA batteries are not included and the battery compartment can be a little tough to get off. Just pry off the back with a screwdriver.Accuracy is ok. The temperature seems accurate compared to a trusted source, but the humidity was not consistent with my trusted source or each other. If you need good humidity accuracy, these are not it, but for my needs they are fine.

Good (very) little thermometer
Although this thermometer is small at about 3 inches wide, it is easy to read. The LCD is sharp and clear. The small form factor makes it easy to find a place on a shelf or counter. It provides temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius and humidity readings. The thermometers seam to be relatively accurate, compared to my thermostat and other thermometers these PFTTDD thermometers are within 1 degree .It provides a quick reading, as soon as I put in a AAA battery it get an accurate reading. The thermometers run on a single AAA battery, batteries are not included.The only issue with the PFTTDD thermometer is the process to remove the battery cover. It doesn’t slide off, you need to pry it off. The first time I though I was going to break it. After I did it once it was easy, I used a butter knife to pry it open.
