CAMATET Thickened Slow Feeding Hay Net
Size: 40 inches long
Mesh: 2 inches wide
This hay net uses a thickened weave design. Due to the folding, some threads will protrude, but they will not be visible after being straightened.
The purpose of the hay net is to slow down the eating speed of animals such as horses, sheep, and cattle that need to be fed with hay to prevent stomach cramps caused by eating too fast. The thickened net is more wear-resistant and bite-resistant, and can be used for a longer time.

Reinforced Rope: This hay bag is designed with reinforced extra-thick ropes that are resistant to chewing and tearing, ensuring long-term use even for the most active horses. Due to its thick weave, the mesh is slightly tight, and it takes two people to fill the hay.
Slow Feed: This hay bag is designed with a small mesh hole to help regulate the horse’s eating speed, promote natural grazing behavior, and reduce the risk of digestive problems such as colic or indigestion.
Reduce Hay Waste: The 2-inch wide mesh design prevents horses from pulling out too much hay at a time, minimizing spillage and waste, helping you save hay costs in the long run.
Wide Range of Uses: This hay bag is lightweight and portable. It is not only suitable for feeding horses, but also for feeding animals that need to eat hay, such as goats and cattle. It is perfect for use in the stable, trailer or travel. Its simple design makes it easy to fill, hang and clean.
Durable and Reliable Construction: Made of high-quality tear-resistant materials, this hay bag can withstand daily use, ensuring that your horse always has a reliable feeding solution.

Would work in horse trailer, but too small for daily use
If you’re looking for a cheap solution for your trailer, this might work for you. But it is too difficult to stuff and holds too little to be a daily feeder. I also have some concerns about the longevity of this bag based on the netting material.

Great size for trailering or a pony feeder, easy to fill, economical
This hay net is very similar to the ones I grew up using. No frills, great for trailering, easy to fill, economical, easy to hang and empty. It wouldn’t be large enough for an overnight feeder for a large horse or multiple horses, but perfect for my pony. The nylon rope seems to be very durable.

    Too Many Loose Threads
I’m going to give this a pass. The net material feels like it’s made of bailing twine or something similar, and it’s way too loosely woven, with individual threads popping out all over the place. I’m not comfortable putting this out with the animals – it seems like they would easily end up ripping out plastic threads and eating those along with the hay.

    Great for Goats
This was a little smaller than I was expecting, but it works well for our goats. They are notorious for wasting hay and this bag makes it a lot harder for them to do so. They have to be much more meticulous eaters. It is easy to hang, and a little bit of a pain to fill. It’s kind of awkward getting hay in the top when it wants to close all the time and is easier to do with 2 people. We’re pretty happy with it though and would buy again. Good value for price.

    Great slow feeding solution.
We’ve been using this hay bag for my daughter’s horses, who have previously foundered, so it’s really important that we manage their hay intake carefully. This bag has been a great solution. It holds a generous amount, enough for one or two horses if you’re feeding a few times a day. The 2-inch openings are just right — small enough to slow down feeding, but not so small that they get frustrated. It keeps them engaged and helps prevent overeating. The material feels strong and durable, and the stitching has held up well with daily use. The cinch string at the top is long enough to tie securely in different positions, which is helpful for adjusting height or securing it in a stall or trailer. The only change I’d suggest is making the cinch string a contrasting color. Right now it blends in with the bag, and it can be tricky to find when you’re stuffing in hay, especially if you’re in a rush or working at night.

    Its OK
This bag is very different than the others I have for my horses. It’s almost half the normal size, thick in the netting, but incredibly thin in the draw cord. This makes it challenging to fill and tie. I may try replacing the cord and hang on to it for a trailer bag, as the thick cording of the net will probably keep hay in there decently and off the floor.

Exactly what I was looking for
This was exactly what I was looking for to place in my horse trailer. It was super easy to fill as the top opened up nice and wide. The nylon rope material should last for a very long time. I only placed a small amount of hay in it, but I could have easily put a lot more, but I just wanted something that might encourage my horse to be more open to traveling in the trailer and not take up a lot of space.
