I have a dog with pretty bad allergies, so I am switching to making my own dog.food so I have complete control over the ingredients and know exactly what is in his food. In this book, the slow cooker is utilized. This allows me to also save time, money and effort by batch cooking a larger amount to use over several days. The author also provides guidance on how to address your dog’s individual needs based on age and activity level. An adjustment guide is provided for every recipe. I liked that the author also covered all the main proteins. My dog is allergic to chicken, I personally liked that lamb was included. There are even fun holiday and seasonal recipes toward the end of the book!

There are about 5 core recipes and the “author” just swaps out chicken for turkey for beef for lamb. No photos, bad formatting. Seems I could have asked ChapGPT for these recipes.

I would suggest if you have a dog, to get this cookbook.
