Monitor closely until you know what it does. Puts off lots of heat
Be careful and don’t underestimate how much heat these things produce. I had to get smaller ones and replace the plexiglass that it was closest to. Poor chicks were huddled up as far as they could get from it. Lucky I was monitoring or I would have lost all of them. Thermometer only a few inches away read 131 degrees. That was in about 30 -45 minutes of installing it.

150W at 6in to 8in away from dragon is perfect!!
If you live in a area that gets in the negatives in Winter I’d invest in 250w bulbs, personally I’ve got 1x 150w bulb in a 50 gallon tank for the other 3 seasons of the year, Heat stays between 70F-75F degrees with humidity of 45-50%. with my150w bulb. Good rule of thumb is to have extra bulbs ALWAYS!! Bearded dragons are cold blooded, THEY DO NOT CREATE THEIR OWN HEAT, power outage’s can cause lights to brake, for your beaded babies sake please invest in 2 bulb packs. Down side to any ceramic heat bulbs is they are EXTREMELY HOT!!! No joke, it take seconds for a light left on a carpet to melt to black, same with the plastic around your uvb light. Other then reminding yourself of these facts to keep you & your beardie safe, I Highly recommended this product & will continue to buy from this supplier.

Use heat bulb for my greenhouse
I have 2 of these 150W and 2 other 50W heater bulb on a photography light adapter with independent switches. With 2 150W bulbs, the green house is around 45F at night when the temp dips in the mid 20s. It’s enough to keep my plants alive through the winter without having to bring them inside the house.
