Nice shears for the price
Nice quality for the price. We only have 2 lambs so worked decent for the job. They do get hot, and the blades are extremely sharp so definitely shear with care. Would purchase again.

GREAT shearing machine
I bought this shearing machine as a back-up for my regular machine for shearing my llamas. I am so impressed with this shearing machine. First I will address the “cons” listed on other reviews. Yes the machine gets hot after running for sometime, but so do my other,more expensive shearers! I think it is quite smart of the company to include gloves! Yes, it is a bit heavy as compared to my other shearer, butnot so heavy that I can’t shear a couple of llamas before my arm gets tired. I am very impressed with the variable speed and how well it cuts even at the lower speed. I have sheared 3 heavy wool llamas on 1 set of blades, and it is still good for more. I highly recommend this shearer!

Definitely not the best pair of Clippers they’re not great on legs or around the face. I just got to rescue her hair is only about 2 in thick and it took me quite a bit

I LOVE THESE SHEARS UPDATE: I wanted to add a few things, because I looked back on a few reviews and got irritated. Listen, if you are buying something read everything first that the seller list! CLEARY it is stated, the oil bottle is empty, you have to buy your own, second, it states it comes with gloves so assume it gets hot! People are killing me, these shears are amazing and next spring Iâll buy a second pair so I can have another set of hands shear along side me. I will ONLY buy this brand. They are fast, sharp, and perfect. Iâm searing thick thick sheep wool from over a year of age and they just cut so perfect.These bad boys are awesome! They are sharp. We have lambs and used them on a thick coat. They are sharp! Sharp! Sharp! So sharp I nicked my ewe a few times!! These get warm, but thatâs because they are operating quickly. Oil bottle is empty so you can put your own oil in it. I recommend them very much do some YouTube videos first so you donât hurt your animal. Go into it slow. Good price!

Extremely hot and cutting is inconsistent!
This doesn’t work well! It get’s extremely hot, even when following all of the manufacturer’s instructions. Shearing is inconsistent, sometimes it shears quick and clean, then it barely makes it through the fiber. Very dissapointed! Can only return it within 30 days, happened to use it at 37 so we’re out of luck.

Excellent product for dogs as well.
Very efficient on 1 level setting, did end up giving my dog a nick my fault caused a skin tear (stitches) so need to be careful and pull skin to prevent that. I have 2 goldendoodle and they had matted hair post winter n I tried all possible expensive trimmer n wasted 300dollars. My husband n I are happy with the product and works good on dogs and gives an even cut. Would definitely recommend for matted dog hair.

This is a great sheep shear. We got it and immediately sheared 12 sheep. We chose this one because we did not have allot to do with it. I turns out that it could stand up to any shear and work all day if needed. The unit was very comfortable to hold and maneuver while in use. We got this unit because our Oster was out for repairs and was taking too long to come back. Our Oster dealer messed up so bad they ended up giving us a brand new shear. We have not used it and the way this TAKEIT shear is working I do not think we will ever take out the Oster shear again.This is a great product and I highly recommend it. It is defiantly worth the investment.Thanks for your time.

We used these to shear our very overgrown and matted llama. They worked amazingly and were not overly loud so as to scare her. Best to spray frequently with clipper lubricant and they make easy work of a tough job.
