Nice, comfy pad for my senior cat
This is a nice little self-warming bed for my senior cat. Sheâs very petite so itâs plenty cushiony to support her body. If you have a large cat, for example a Maine Coon, youâll probably prefer a thicker bed. This fits nicely in her preferred closet ðand she seems very pleased. The top has a soft, fluffy short pile, and the bottom is a sort of non-slip fabric. They can lay on either side. We like it.

great option for my cats and dogs during cold winter. Traps and reflects heat. Cozy
As shown and described. Soft fluffy sherpa-like fleece on outside (helps trap heat), interior pad has reflective material (helps reflect heat), slim zipper, slightly grippy bottom.Basically takes the animals heat and helps maintain it by trapping heat and reflecting it back. If animal or environment is actually very cold, then this may not help. For that, you may want to add under it a low watt heated pad. I did this for my elderly cats. They had their favorite place to sleep, and always had both options available 24/7.Good size for any cat and smaller dogs, or larger dogs that dont need their entire body on it. I bought the larger 29″ x 19″ because I figured if I dont use it for my cats, then my southern rescue dog would appreciate it during the cold northern winters. I can put it on my lap or underneath me if no one liked it.But, My cats liked it just fine, they like it tucked into one of their existing beds. However, I also tried it for my dogs, and as anticipated, my 50 lb mega mutt loves it. I usually put a nice blanket down for her on the couch, similar in material as this is, but it has brought her extra pleasure and comfort to have this slim pad to curl up on whether the blanket it there or not. This isnt my first self warming pad. I have others I have used through the years, and wanted another as the others are in specific locations that the cats sometimes use. This one is different in the top material is fluffy, and more flexible than the other two I own. Both styles are good, this one is pricier than the other I linked to. I think if I bought more, it would be this one. I like the added softness and flexibility, where as the other is slightly more firm. Depends on needs and where it is placed. This is neat. I will feel the warmth after she leaves it. I feel it on the top side as well as the underside. It isnt hot or anything, but it really helps the animal to keep their heat. So no loss but no major gain either. I wouldnt use these necessarily for an outdoor animal on its own. Maybe a very low wattage heat pad, then this with it if it is really cold out. Animal needs to already have some heat of their own in order for this to make sense. They cant heat up the pad if they arent warm. If elements strip away the heat, then this may not help them. But for indoor use, especially cooler environments (we keep our house on cooler side in winter) this can help immensely to keep them comfy. Or for those that simply like warmer sleeping arrangements.

Some cats will be obsessed
Fantastic for some cats.My arthritic cat isn’t enamored with it and treats it like any old floor mat or towel. He does not seem aware that it gets warm.Meanwhile, my friends’ cats (who also have arthritis!) LOVE it and will stretch out completely after a couple of minutes, fully warmed up and happy.I’d think my cat was spoiled by heated blankets, but one of my friends’ cats also has heated blanket access, so… I don’t know. Maybe my cat is just picky. But definitely a good product, worth trying out! It’s soft, seems high-quality and durable (friends have had theirs for months with no issues), good price for what it is. The review ideas list says I should mention flatness, so: it is very flat. If that’s important to you, there you go.

Cat doesnt like the feel of it
Honestly not sure if it works, I got this for my kitten cause my house was pretty cold but my kitten literally hates it idk lol, he just refuses to touch it and if its in his path he will jump around it. So im sure it works fine for warming, but he didnt want it lol

Pet Bed that Warms with Body Heat
These are so nice. The pet’s warmth is released back to them. This is a fluffy cover and nice size pad for my large cat. It functions flawlessly since it only operates with the pet’s own body heat. I have one pad on the bed and one in the dining area. She likes to take her bath while snuggled on the pad. I like the cover of this like wool skin. I would order again and recommend this product.

It’s self warming like any blanket ever made gets warm from laying on it.
This is just a cheap cat bed. There’s nothing “self warming” about it beyond what anything else would be if something slept on it. There’s no magical spell making it warmer.

My kitties love these pads.
Such a neat pad for my feline babies. They obviously love to lie on them. Helps hold the heat from their bodies. A good comfort measure.

The product is for the larger of our 2 cats. We have Lili a Burmese â princess â ( she acts like one) and a marvellous once feral long haired boy named Ganesh. Lili who is always cold find heat by snuggling with Ganesh and Ganesh goes to the heat when on. We decided that Ganesh needed a really good self warming blanket and this one fills the bill. Fluffy and thick and obviously comfortable and on top of that the outer cover is machine washable. Ganesh thanks you, Lili thanks you and â Mumâ and âDad â thankyou! Definitely recommendable. ð» âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

TL;DR (for those not up to snuff on online lingo, this means âtoo long; didnât readâ and summarizes a lengthy post, or in this case, a lengthy review. Youâre welcome.)â Gorgeous, soft sherpa or sherpa-like top cover.â The cats use it and will sometimes stay there for a long time.â Try covering it with a pillow case or one of your t-shirts if youâve given them, say, a week or two and they really donât seem to be catching on that this is a good thing. Also catnip.â It is not a bed but a pad. Youâll be disappointed if youâre expecting it to be thick like a bed.â It does not heat up on its own but uses the petâs body temperature to provide heat. Hence the description self-warming or self-heating.â It is not noiseless. There is a quiet crinkle sound.â Overall an excellent purchase and one I highly recommend.I put this on a chair in front of the loveseat where we sit. It took both cats a few days to be brave enough to sit on it (we had placed them on it a few times but they jumped off of it immediately.) Once the cats discovered it for themselves they started lying on that chair when weâre in the room, and will sometimes stay there long after we leave for another part of the house.I bought another one of these of a different brand from Amazon (cheaper than this one) at the same time I ordered this. This one is much nicer, though to be fair the cats seem to like them both equally. I just think the cover of this one is softer and a better quality material. In spite of what the listing says, it is not quiet. There is a crinkle sound. To me it sounds a bit like when you pull apart clothes from the dryer that are stuck together by static cling. It is subtle but worth mentioning for people who canât tolerate certain sounds. One of my cats kneads it before she lies down on it so I think she likes it. Itâs like a crinkly cat toy.I see so many reviews saying the cat didnât take to it. The key to making it work is just like the real estate mantra: location, location, location. And time. Just let them discover it and try it out themselves. It may take a while but be patient. Put it in a spot you know they like already, or are likely to like. In a sunny spot perhaps, but somewhere near you. Cats want to be in the same room as us, if not right next to us or on our laps. I saw one reviewer say that now her cat lies next to her on the couch since she got the pad. You can always put a pillow case or one of your old shirts on top of it â or wrapped around it â if your cat is fussy about textures and just doesnât like the top fabric. Also try sprinkling a little catnip on it.Lots of comments in the reviews about it not being thick. Itâs a mat, not a bed. You can put it ON a bed if you like but this is not meant to be thick like that, though admittedly they do use the word âbedâ in the heading for the listing before they call it a pad.The mat does not heat up. How it works: the bottom of the cover blocks cold, the bottom layer inside reflects the petâs body heat, the next layer up insulates, and then thereâs the top cover, which is the part they lie on and is a beautiful, soft sherpa. It uses the catâs own body heat to create the warmth. I have one of these I bought years ago that plugs in and even it doesnât actually heat up but also uses the catâs body heat & weight (it needs some weight, I guess, for all the layers to work together.)I am impressed. I wasnât sure if it would flop because I was skeptical that it would stay warm as it says it does, but it works!

Very good.It isn’t anywhere close to an electric mat but fits nicely in a cardboard box. Your cat or dog will love it.

The self heating pet bed was amazing for my dog. I enjoyed the size because it just covered the inside of my dogs bed. It doesn’t get too hot which is great. I can trust that it’s safe to use since it’s not electric. Great materials used too. If the had a bigger size that be great too!
