Nice and bright, wish it was a bit tougher for hard use.
Great light and setup for fishing at night, I did notice the clip ends are connected to two very skinny wires at the battery end where it tends to get a lot of use. I am not sure if this is suited for our rental fleet without some material added to the hookup wires. Other than that, It’s a good product and does what it says it will do… Very bright, and water proof.

Bright Green Light That Attracts Fish
I picked up this SeaShine IP68 underwater fishing light for night fishing, and it works great. The green light is bright at 1300 lumens and really does draw in baitfish, which brings in bigger fish not long after. I’ve used it both in saltwater and freshwater, and it performed well in both. The 16ft cable gives plenty of length to drop it down from the boat or dock, and it feels sturdy and well-sealed. Being IP68 waterproof, I don’t have to worry about it handling long hours in the water. At 13W, it doesn’t drain much power either, so it pairs perfectly with a small 12V battery.I’ve run it off my portable LiFePO4 battery and it lasts all night without issues. For the price, it’s a reliable, effective fishing light that’s compact enough for kayaks but still powerful enough for boats or docks.

    OMG it’s BRIGHT!!!
OMG, this little light is so bright. When it arrived, I thought it was a toy. Well, I was wrong. I hooked it up at a bench power supply and at 14 volts, it was drawing .821 amps. That’s right, this super bright fishing light draws less than 1 amp. You could fish for days with almost any battery. Holding it in the dark in a 15’ x 15’ room, I could see everything clearly and had to squint when looking directly at the light. The cord feels small, but it is more than adequate for the less than 1 amp load. It appears to be well made and looks to be fairly high quality. This is a great light for kayakers or other boater that want to light up the water to draw bait that will attract larger fish. On the gulf coast, the water is rarely clear, so it takes a bright light it show up well more than 6’ down inshore. This light performs well and compares favorably to high end dock lights in output, although it is not meant for permanent installations. It would be a fantastic addition for a kayaker of dock fisherman who wants a bright battery powered light that is compact and doesn’t draw much power. Note that direct light sources are hard to photograph, so the pictures don’t do justice in showing just how bright this light is. Great value for the price. Get one

  5. HONEST REVIEWER

It’s a solid, dependable product that performs
Reviews, by their nature, are incredibly personal; what one person finds to be a groundbreaking success, another might deem merely adequate. With that in mind, the SeaShine IP68 Underwater Fishing Light proves to be a very competent piece of equipment. It arrives as described, boasting IP68 waterproofing and a bright 1300LM green light, exactly what you’d expect for night fishing. The 16ft cable provides ample length, and its DC/AC 12-24V compatibility makes it versatile for various power sources on boats, docks, or kayaks in both fresh and saltwater. It effectively attracts fish and performs its intended function without a hitch. While it certainly does the job well and is a reliable tool for any angler, it doesn’t quite redefine the underwater lighting experience or exceed expectations in a way that feels revolutionary. It’s a solid, dependable product that performs as advertised.

It’s a light; it’s not too expensive–but there are better options.
I had just been talking to my neighbor about wanting to get a droplight for fishing– an hour later this SeaShine IP68 Underwater Fishing Light, DC/AC 12-24V Green Fish Lights, 1300LM Night Underwater Lights 16FT Cable 13W Fish Light for Night Fishing Docks/Boats/Kayaks, Fresh & Salt Water was in my feed.On receiving the light, I was impressed with its compact size and how bright the light was. It’s a good price, was easy to use, and the light itself seems sturdy (as do the clamps). I hooked it up to a small battery and dropped it into the deep end of my pool–it took a few minutes, but it finally settled to the bottom.Cons:1). It’s rated to IP68–“The green fishing light features IP68 waterproof rating, safely submersible up to 1M for 30 minutes”. It’s got 16 feet of wiring, but is only rated to be 3.28 feet underwater for 30 minutes?2). The wiring is extremely thin. Not an electrician, but I’m guessing the draw of the LED’s likely exceeds the capacity of that wire over 16′. Being underwater is probably beneficial in cooling it. In addition to the power being transferred over the (maybe 22AWG?) wire, it (and the small amount of insulation) is the only thing holding that light 16′ away.3). It’s almost neutrally buoyant. The manufacturer suggests tying a weight to the wire (see Con #2) to get it down. Other lights I have seen have a small ring attached to the bottom cap to attach weights (shoot, an additional ring on the top cap would allow me to attach a run of cord or braid to take stress off of the wiring). The manufacturer offers an 18-month warranty. I can see that being needed.

    Nice light for fishing
Got this for my son and his friends so they could try night fishing. He said it is much brighter than expected but easy to use. They charged it off their generator and had no problems. Functions as it should, just really bright. He said he was worried about the wires lasting as they seem flimsy. Overall not too bad.
