Customers say
Customers find the water treatment effective, with one mentioning it healed their fish quickly. The product receives positive feedback for its quality, with one customer noting it works well as a milder alternative to Kana or Metroplex. The bottle capacity and medication level receive mixed reviews.

Great milder alternative to Kana or Metroplex if milder bacterial fungal infection!
Tried this for a bacterial fungal growth and disease on my saltwater tangs that they were developing. I added this to their frozen brine shrimp I feed them. And awesome, it cleared up their fungal bacterial infections after a week! I wanted to use something not so harsh like Kanaplex or Metroplex, since this was not a major bacterial or parasitic infection. And Sulfa worked like a charm, and I will use this for less severe cases hereinafter!

Get more, powder does not fill the bottle
Definitely lessened the damage. Would recommend getting a few tubes if you 50+ gallon. I found it ran out very quickly, as the tube is actually only about half to 3/4 full of the powder.

Very effective on a mystery disease
I have a planted community tank that includes 3 black neon tetras, as well as regular neon tetras and glowlight tetras. For some reason the black neons and only the black neons started showing some weird white stuff on their bodies. At first it was just a few specks on one fish, so I thought it was Ich, but treatment I’ve used successfully on Ich in the past (Seachem Paraguard) did not affect it and it got worse and worse, sort of looked like large patches of fungus, but not fuzzy, or sort of like lymphocystitis, but not lobular/cauliflower-like. All 3 fish got it and the patches were growing rapidly, so I was afraid they were goners, and also afraid it could spread to the other fish. I’ve been happy with Seachem products so I researched all their medications and decided to try this one as a broad-spectrum approach since I had no idea what this illness was. Within 1 day I could see improvement and over a period of 2-3 weeks (not continuing to add more Sulfaplex, but after finishing the initial treatment) they gradually improved and now, several weeks later, they look completely normal and are acting healthy. It did not apparently affect the other fish, or my plants. I moved a mystery snail til the treatment was over; the instructions do say it is not safe for invertebrates. If you have an unknown disease this is definitely worth trying. Even though it’s a very small container, you don’t have to use very much, so I still have lots left over after treating a 40 gallon tank. I’m glad to have some on hand in case I ever have a weird disease problem in future.

Great Stuff, healed my fish quickly!
My Cory Catfish came down with columnaris because the gravel was too rough and tore up their barbels. I only had pimafix and melafix on hand and no chance to get to the fish store which is nearly an hour away. I treated them with the pimafix and melafix until I received the Sulfaplex, which I think kept them alive until it came, but they werenât any better. Within 24 hours on the Sulfaplex they were showing signs of improvement and were eating on day two. 5 days later they seemed completely healed! Although their barbels havenât grown back, but they probably wonât,anyway.

Did nothing to save my Silver Shark. The complete pack is exhausted but the fish is still not cured. Please dont waste money on such costly fish meds.
