Pristine uses bio-augmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. It will also reduce excess nutrients (e.g. ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms. Pristine increases water clarity and promotes overall better health for the aquatic environment. The bacteria species in Pristine thrive in fresh or salt water and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this bacterial blend can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Biopolymers produced by established bacterial colonies trap particulates and increase water clarity. The species of bacteria in Pristine are a unique blend, specifically developed for hardiness and their ability to adapt to a wide variety of environmental conditions.

My fish really are floating in space
WHOA! So happy with this product. And all of Seachem products!! This pristine is amazing! I overdosed Seachem Stability when I started my tank. It wasn’t realy intentional. It was just because the dose for a 5 gallon is 1.25ml which is 1/4 a cap of Stability. I put it in more like 1/2 cap because. Well, I have a betta. Betta’s have small bioloads. So the bacteria was just accumulating way faster than ammonia and nitrite were accumulating….this caused a very very thick biofilm. And before my cycle caught up with the bacteria….i was dealing with a very thick biofilm. I knew it would go away as my cycle progressed. And it did. However, that biofilm fell to the gravel as snow.So when I would do water changes that would get kicked up….just fly around the tank….it was bad. So I added pristine. I had talked to Seachem and they told me to wait on adding Pristine until my nitrifying bacteria were established. I waited. Then I added pristine. The bacteria went to work….but man oh man i could literally see the bacteria eating away at the biofilm sediment, my entire tank went hazy….almost like a ribbon of fog was running through it. This was very very worrisome. Pristine actually made my tank cloudy at first….it took about 48 hours to see results.i added it on a friday morning….and it wasn’t until sunday night i came home and saw the results. WHOA….it’s CLEAR! I am SO HAPPY!!!!! part of me really wanted to think i had screwed something up. I just had this horribly dread i was going to have to do a 100% water change and start over….but that wasn’t the case! I just needed to be patient.I am so impressed!!!!I love Seachem. And all of their products. I trust them 100%. And their customer service is amazing! If you need anything just email them from their website.I LOVE PRISTINE!!!UPDATE: So i am still happy with this product. Gravel vacuuming is definitely easier. But i like to give my mystery snail zucchini. I typically leave a single piece in the tank for 24 hours before removing it….i’ll remove it and not add another piece for another 24 hours or so…the first time i did this after I’d established the Pristine bacteria into my tank…i went to bed with an absolutely crystal clear aquarium. the next morning i woke up and it was super cloudy! it was obviously a bacterial bloom. and i immediately suspected the pristine reacting to the zucchini. so i emailed Seachem and explained what was going on….and they wrote back and told me that it was indeed the zucchini. i’ve removed the zucchini. but it’s been 36 hours and a 50% water change and the bloom is just now subsiding. i am not going to downgrade my review….zucchini is organic and that is exactly what this product is supposed to do. break down organics. so if you’re going to be throwing in large amounts of fresh veggies for snails or invertebrates i would just keep this in mind. i think i’ll still feed my snail veggies…but it will not stay in the tank for more than a couple of hours.

I have to conclude that this works.
I have had cloudy water to varying degrees in my tank for a good while. I tried carbon infused filter fiber in the filters, which may have helped somewhat but not much and of course I had been doing water changes. I then used the Pristine, I think two times and the water may have looked a bit clearer after a few days, but a week later it was still sort of cloudy. I eventually used API Accu-Clear, it took two doses and the water became amazing clear and has stayed that way for over a month. The Pristine is specific bacteria that eats biofilm, detritus, etc.. The API Accu-Clear clumps particles that are suspended in the water together and they fall to the bottom of the tank or get sucked up into the filter. The Accu-Clear obviously cleared the water amazingly well and quick but at this point, a month later, I have to conclude the Pristine is playing a role, because there is absolutely no algae or biofilm in the tank, on the walls especially, everything is cleaner including the gravel. The intake and outtake tubes of my hang on the back filter are extremely clean and clear, which was not the case before I used this. They really would get mucky in side and out.So I will continue to use the Pristine along which the Accu-Clear as I need to.

Frees up sludge in filter
My polyurethane pellets were clumping in the filter. This product got rid of the sludge and so my my filtration system flows smoother.

Not a miracle worker but I like it.
The first time I used this product it caused my water to get cloudy instead of clear. I am guessing it was a bacterial bloom. After that cleared (3 days tops) up my water parameters are improved and the water is very clear. I purchased it hoping to bring down my nitrates. It seems to help me stretch a few more days between water changes. I am going to dose my nitrate reactor with this when I get it finished to see if that helps. My tap water is 40ppm from the tap from agricultural run off. I live in the middle of a 100 acre farm in a rural area that has a well. I also have a small rena canister filter with some purigen and matrix and an HOB with matrix and purigen. I have a 29 gallon FW tank, 15 plants but they are still small so I will be heavily planted in the future. From my experience anything from Seachem is worth trying. I love all their products.

Works perfectly
Iâve had trouble with cloudy water no mattter how many water changes. This is the only product that has helped clear up my water. It doesnât just bond the debris for the filter to suck up, like most clarifying products. You only need a small amount so Iâm sure it will last for a long time.

Got African Cichlids ?
Got African Cichlids?Overstocked aquarium?I love my cichlids like family. Have around 13 and they produce alot of poop fairly quickly within the confines of a 30gal tank.Pristine is critical for the optimal health of these fish.Seachem Pristine keeps Ammonia and Nitrite at zero. It also keeps Nitrate as low as possible between weekly water changes.I find the fish seem less impacted at the end of the week when it’s time to change the water. They have more energy and color.I use Pristine in combo with Stabality along with Seachem Matrix in my 2 canister filters. Finally, last but not least, I use Seachem Purigen to polish the water.TIP 1: Feed high-quality fish food. I found Omega One keeps fish extremely colorful and aquarium water noticibly clear after feeding.TIP 2: Also highly recommend Cichlid Lake Salt and Fresh TraceTIP 3: Malawi Victoria Buffer is a must if you have soft water with ph less than 7.8

Otimo produto.

Product delivery is good. I think it is working as my fishes remain happy even when I don’t change water for 15 days against earlier weekly water change.

Muitos perguntam a validade.
