Metronidazole is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirius). It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. There is little danger of overdosing. Usual dose is 125 mg/10 gallons.

the weight is correct in jar, good product when you ‘know what’s wrong
glad i ordered it even though it had negative reviews because this has not only cured my prized clown fish part of a mated pair, but is has also brought my fang blenny back from the brink of death, he was just a skeleton of what he was, I am pipe feeding frozen food, because he still wont hunt for food but he’s gaining everyday, for the first week he didn’t eat maybe longer , I could not see any cause on either fish until half dead and still not sure what infection I’m dealing with so it must cover a lot, plus i like the fact that it is hard to over dose but be prepared it takes over a month on both fish, but it works
