Cupramine effectively eradicates Oodinium, Cryptocaryon, Amyloodinium, Ichthyophthirius, and other ectoparasites of both freshwater and marine fish. It is superior to copper sulfate, chloride & citrate: it is non-acidic, less toxic to fish, remains in solution, and does not contaminate the filter bed. It is superior to chelates: it is fully charged (ionic), active at low concentrations, and is removable with carbon. There is more than a four-fold concentration gap between the minimal therapeutic dose (0.2 mg/L) and the toxic dose (0.8 mg/L). Cupramine is easily removable with chemical filtration. It is highly effective and safe in freshwater as well as marine water. Cupramine is recommended for the treatment of certain diseases in marine and freshwater fish only. It IS NOT recommended for treating any style aquarium containing invertebrates, corals, crustaceans, or elasmobranchs (sharks and rays).

    it works be careful
east to use just be careful it will kill your fish if you use too much. im trying to kill off a snail infestation and its killing off my barbs pretty quick. i definitely suggest treating in a nursing tank for ich or try to remove any fish to a nursing tank before treating for snails in the main tank. id also suggest a copper removal medium to treat with after use to get the levels back to normal.

Does not kill Malaysian trumpet snail
I’m not sure how to write this product. It doesn’t specifically say it kills snails but it’s widely expected to kill them. I closely followed directions as to the dosage, and it had absolutely no effect on Malaysian trumpet snails. I even doubled the dosage since there were not any fish in the tank and it still did not kill them. Didn’t even appear to knock them down in population numbers.

Do not follow the directions. Works too well.
This stuff works! I tried everything to get rid of the snails. Traps, total tank clean with bleach wash, bleach washed plants and all tank assessories. The directions say 20 drops per 20US gallons…no no no! I have a 30 gallon tank and before I was able to get to the 20 drops my fish started gasping for air and hovering together, the snails dropped dead instantly. I immediately drained all water, plants etc from the tank and filled with fresh water. A few days later more snails, I added 3 drops every other day for a week. I haven’t seen a snail since and I still do regular gravel cleaning without using this stuff. Any more snails I will do the 3 drops every other day again. This stuff works great, just BE CAREFUL!

    Miracle Chemical
I have a 29 gallon aquarium that was overloaded with snails. Hundreds of them of various sizes. I treated the tank in the evening, and a few hours later, most of the snails were gone. I did the second treatment 48 hours later, and almost all the others were also dead. I’m not sure if this will 100% get rid of all of them, but I’m fine with having a few in there. Many people are against this type of chemical in aquariums, but it really works. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked, and am very happy with it. My fish didn’t appear to be affected by it either. Some others on here are saying their fish didn’t do very well, but mine did fine. I have a very basic setup community tank with hearty species.Don’t use this if you have shrimp, as they will also die along with the snails.

Quite a beginner and got comet fishes from a local fish store. After 2 days, I noticed one with so many white spots and learned about Ich. Unfortunately, I didn’t quarantine immediately, and the next day, I found 2 more fishes have started to have 2-5 spots too.Order arrived fast and quickly did Cupramine according to the 2-day instructions and when I water change. Some did not survive due to other beginner-related reasons, and maybe stress, but the first 3 that died all had ich. 🙁 Weird enough, this white one that had the most is now the strongest.I searched for the most effective and learned that Cupramine is good. I combined it with heat treatment because it was a little cold at that time. I am not sure if relying on just Methylene blue is good but I learned that Methylene blue could stain the tank. The plants survived too.
