Removes loose hair and my dog loves it
I found the shape and weight of the brush to feel like I am holding a bar of soap. There is enough drag on brush to remove loose hair and make the dog happy to be rubbed. I didn’t have any hair build up on the bristles so I couldn’t test the plastic shield to clean the brush. It works well, easy to keep clean, and my dog loves it.

Works great when used dry! (Doesn’t capture all hair like when wet, though.)
Dog: 36lb KVD/Jindo Mix; short double coat; light shedding daily and blows her coat twice a yearI actually bought this to use dry, not wet. I absolutely love it and so does my dog and we’ll be using this weekly (and daily during shedding season) for her main dry grooming brush! It doesn’t trap all the loose hair when used this way but since it’s advertised as a wet brush, not dry, I didn’t remove a star for that. But if you’re interested in using this dry and that fact matters to you, FYI. I’ve actually already ordered another one to replace what we currently use in the bath too since I’m thinking it’ll work even better when wet.Pros (while used dry):- My dog loves being brushed with this. She hated the various slicker brushes we’ve tried but she’ll lie down and relax while being brushed with this and even ask for more.- Seems to remove quite a lot of hair. (Maybe not *quite* as much as a slicker brush in the same amount of time? Hard to tell. But it definitely gets more than the unused slicker brush she runs way from heh.)- The plastic “screen” that you can remove to make sure all the hair comes out in one fell swoop works great and definitely avoids the need to stand over the trash can trying to remove every last bit of hair. The screen does need to be pressed all the way down when putting it back on to ensure no hair gets underneath it though, which does take a bit of fiddling, but I didn’t find it overly annoying. Just takes an extra few seconds.- Fits nicely in my hand and is comfortable to use even for prolonged sessions.Cons (while used dry):- The hair obviously sticks to the silicone while wet but, while dry, that doesn’t happen. So while it does seem to remove hair that hasn’t yet fallen out as intended, it doesn’t always TRAP that hair in the brush because it’s not wet/sticky. If I brush her for 5 minutes, the brush will have a lot of hair in it by the end, but a lot of the hair will also have just come loose and flown off during the session. It’s not really a problem for us since we do this out on the patio most times, or if it is inside, I’m probably vacuuming soon anyway. So I don’t mind it. But I imagine a lot of people might. So if you’re looking for something that traps all hair that it removes WHILE USED DRY, this isn’t it.

My dog loves this brush.
I gave 4 stars only because this brush only gets the loose hair of the top coat. Its very comfortable to hold and is easy to use.Our girl is 12 corgi and is rated as one of the top shedders. She really likes it when I brush her. Some deshedding brushes are harsh on the skin and pull her hair. (Ouch) Not this one, I can brush her every day and she won’t complain. Its easy to clean and can be used in the bath.

Dogs love the soft bristles and clean up is a snap!
This is the easiest brush to clean! I have a really big shedder & this makes brushing so easy. The bristles are soft enough to not scratch her skin. She absolutely loves it – and BONUS – it cleans hair off the furniture as well. Best dog brush Iâve ever had.

Soft on my dog Stella, & very easy to clean.
Couldnât use the wire brush, my Stella didnât like it, too hard on her. This one works absolutely fantastic and she loves it. I like how I lift the plastic to clean it very easy.

Not Good for Short Haired Dogs
Have a short haired dog (about 3/4″ long) and she doesn’t like the fine-toothed metal comb I use to brush her. I tested this out and I couldn’t brush her enough to get the loose hair off her coat. It works ok for baths and working in the shampoo but that’s about it. She didn’t mind being brushed however so it should work well on a longer haired pet.

Good brush
I love that this brush has the self cleaning piece. So much easier to get the hair out from between the teeth of the brush. It does a good job and getting through fur because of the sturdiness of the rubber teeth. My girl loves this. It does well with getting off all of the shedded hair. I would recommend.
