Better for lizards than snakes
This would make a good tank for a bearded dragon or other lizard. The wiring is good and the switches work well. You definitely don’t want to put anything that needs humidity because this would need to be sealed. Desert lizards would have plenty of room in most cases. Any species would benefit from a larger enclosure than this, but this is a good start. If you have a baby or juvenile lizard they would have plenty of space. I wish there were a way to run a thermostat and/or timer on each outlet, but that is not always necessary.Assembly was moderately difficult. The screws went in straight except for one. I used hand tools, but you could use an electric drill if you are careful. This type of wood can split easily or strip but it’s not hard to get it right if you go slow.I wouldn’t recommend this for a snake due to the exposed wiring and bulbs. If you have a small snake, it might not be able to reach the lights, but might be able to sneak out through some of the gaps in the sliding door. Overall, I say stick with lizards for this one. I am pretty happy with this so far.

Nice enclosure
Weâre using this enclosure for our ball python, and itâs been great overall. Itâs sturdy, secure, and not too heavy, so moving it around is easy. We did have to make a couple of tweaksâtook out the built-in lights since ball pythons love to climb and could get tangled, and cut a section of the lid to add a wire screen for a heat lamp. Now it holds heat and humidity really well without drying out too fast.The glass doors are a nice touch, but assembly wasnât perfectâthe side panels were a bit tight and caused some splintering. The cage also measured slightly smaller than listed, but not by much. Still, once it was put together, it felt solid and safe. Our snake seems happy in it, and Iâm confident itâll hold up long-term.My snake also ripped the hygrometer off the wall during the first night, but it seemed to becircen before that happened.
