    Worth price! HUGE net!
I have been putting hay nets over my round bales for years. I went with this one because of the price and was extremely happy when it arrived! This net is gigantic! The previous nets I bought were smaller and sometimes wouldn’t completely close around the round bales. This is more of a slow feeder netting also which I was happy about, smaller netting vs bigger netting. I put this on my bale and then put a metal round bale feeder with hay saver around it and I have virtually ZERO waste! My horses eat everything and are not pooping on bale because of the metal ring and the hay net keeps everything closed up tight! This was worth its cheap price all day long! (Photo is the old net I bought in the past with wider netting just posting pic so you can see how I set my hay up)

Two round bales and big hole already
We are only on our second round bail with only two horses eating from it and it already has a big hole in it. Did not hold up at all!

So far, it’s holding up well
This is as described and thus far it seems to be working well, it does feel a bit thinner than others we’ve used but it’s holding up well with no issues. If anything changes I’ll update my review.

we cut it and repurposed it as netting for an underwater pool challenge
We didn’t use this as a hay net at all, we cut it and repurposed it as netting for an underwater pool challenge. It held up perfectly: no fraying during the cut, no sudden stretches or tears when pulled underwater.### Key FeaturesThe mesh keeps its shape when tensioned, and the drawcord hardware is decent for the price. Out of the box it’s larger and beefier than the listing photos suggested, which gave us lots of material to work with.### Performance / Real Use* We trimmed sections with sharp shears; the strands cut cleanly and didn’t unzip. I sealed edges with a quick pass of heat which stopped any fuzzing.* Submerged in a pool, the net stayed taut*(I haven’t tested months of outdoor UV exposure or actual hay-feeding use.)*### My Experience vs. Other ReviewsMany buyers highlight size and waste-reduction for hay feeding; while that’s outside our use, the same traits with big coverage and consistent mesh gave us lots of material for our repurposing.### Closing Thoughts & ValueFor a nonstandard, DIY application, this exceeded expectations. Compared with lighter garden or sports netting I’ve used, this knotless nylon feels sturdier. If you’re feeding horses daily, other reviewers suggest it’s a solid value versus $70-$100 slow-feed nets, and seems to meet their functional needs. Full disclosure, I don’t have any experience in this space so I have to defer to others on this point.### Pro Tips* Cut with sharp shears and lightly heat-seal the edge with a lighter or flame for a clean finish.

Not For Use With Horned Animals
I have 20+ sheep, 3 miniature cows, and one horse that all share a pasture, and get several 1200 pound round bales a week. Since I need my animals to be able to access the hay at all heights, it limits my ability to use hay rings – the horse rings always have a guard on the bottom that makes it hard for the sheep to get to the hay, and the cattle rings end up encouraging my horse to rub her mane off. So I’ve just been dealing with hay wastage for the last few years. This net has changed that. Since none of my sheep or cows have horns, I was able to try this net on a bale, and it worked great. Anything with horns does run the risk of getting caught or tangled in the net, however, that is a risk you’d run with *any* net, not just this one. It’s very durable, with nice thick rope and remained tangle free as I put it on a new bale by myself. The holes were large enough so that everyone was able to get to the hay, but small enough that it kept them from wasting nearly as much as they used to. It was also surprisingly easy to install on a bale – I have my bales set on end, so that I can more easily cut off the netting that they come wrapped in. After that, I just throw this over the top of the whole bale, and walk around the bale pulling the edge down so that it covers the bale all the way to the ground. Then I cinch up the adjustable rope against the ground and put a quick slip knot in it. No more than a couple minutes to secure the bale, and it’s definitely gone a long way to stretching my hay budget! The only real down side is that it does get muddy towards the end of the bale if you don’t feed on gravel, and you get rain, but that’s a small price to pay to get more bang for my buck for my hay.

    Keeps your hay contained!
I use these big nets in my large covered feeder and my Tarter hay baskets, and they work like a dream. My 3 horses free feed on either a round bale or lots of small bales stuffed into it as full as I can get it. It is super easy to drop a round bale into the net and cinch it up tight, tying off the top to prevent the horses from opening it up.The knotless rope material is very soft, though it hardens a bit over time as it accumulates slobber, hay dust, dirt, etc. To combat this, I soak and spray them down with water every month or so to keep them strong and pliable which helps them last a long time. The openings are large enough for the horses to grab the hay through it without any extra effort, but it slows them down as expected. The net does come with a repair kit in case of a tear, although I haven’t needed it yet because my horses are thankfully pretty gentle on it.Similar nets can go for $100 or more, and with the sheer size of this thing, you really can’t beat the price!

    Very satisfied
Order Easily, quick shipping, product as advertised, takes some work to get it on the large bale, animals seem to not mind it, the do pull at it but so far it is holding up. I would order this again.
