Our Chin’s love these!
Great little playtoy for the Chin’s!Good item for what you pay. Lasts for an ok amount of time, depending on how heavy chewers your animals are!Installation is ok… little tough on big cages, but definitely doable, especially depending on where you place it.Great size for the Chin’s, takes them a bit to nibble through, but they enjoy it. Haven’t had any issues with them hurting themselves or getting sick from chewing and we all know, chewing helps them keep their teeth down!

Are there refill blanks?
Longterm chinchilla owner here. Saw this toy and love the concept. A fidget spinner for my pet! I hit that buy button pretty fast and this has been in my chin’s cage for a couple days. The grooves are almost completely gone already. My chin likes pine, which this appears to be. I love watching her try to steady it to chew on it.I have similar concerns as other reviewers. First the washers. I changed out the plastic washers immediately. They are human toys, not pet toys. They look like weight disks for dolls, if you need an idea. To be completely safe give them both to your kids, not your pet. Chinchillas LOVE the taste and feel of plastic. The outside one is still accessible enough to become a hazzard. I use only steel hardware on my cage. The bolt appears to be steel. No tooth marks, and I know my Nibbler has tried to scratch it. Second, is that wood pine? It looks and smells like pine, so I trusted it enough to give it to my pet. I’d prefer the maker list that though. And my third is that space behind the wheel and between those petals. If you notice your chinchilla trying hard to get behind this thing repeatedly, take it down. They panic when they feel trapped. The space between those petals could catch their neck. Pick a different shape if that concerns you. I had that thought as I watched my pet investigate it, pushing her face between the petals and around them. She did it twice, then abandoned that effort and hasn’t done it since. So glad I changed out those washers so there’s no draw to keep trying.All that dealt with, it’s a cool chew toy. It’s fun to watch too. She doesn’t spin it, but it does move enough to present a challenge as she nibbles it. Hoping she finds it fun enough to spare her expensive hut for a while.Lastly, are there refills? It would be nice to be able to reuse the bolt and bearings once the wheel is chewed down. Seems a waste to toss them as they won’t be worn out. Not everyone’s a DIY hobbiest that can make that part, or reuse the pieces. So far I haven’t found a listing for just the wood disk.

Simple, perfect little chew toy
Purchased for our 2 little chinchillas. They love this chew toy. Easy to install in the cage and lasts a good while.

One came in tact, the other came broken.
Ordered two, one for each chinchilla.One came in great shape. The other came with one of the out circles snapped off with a sharp corner. Went to order replacement. Now I get to waste time and gas to return the broken one that will then get shipped back to then be thrown in the trash, but that’s okay I guess.One chinchilla has been playing with it frequently. The other chinchilla hasn’t received hers yet so unknown if its a hit with all chinchillas or only my hyper active boy.
