I used to think automatic feeders were overhyped until I caved and got this Rojeco 2 in 1 feeder and water dispenser. My cat has a talent for dramatic hunger protests at the worst times, usually right as I fall asleep or sit down to eat. Ever since I set this up, itâs been blissfully quiet at night. The feeding schedule works exactly as I planned, and the portions are surprisingly accurate. I can set up to six meals a day, which keeps her from inhaling too much food at once and then throwing up twenty minutes later.The design is actually really smart. The food stays fresh inside the sealed top, and I can see at a glance when the food or water is running low. The LED light is a small touch that makes a big difference, since I can check levels at night without turning on lights or fumbling around. The stainless steel bowls are easy to clean and feel much sturdier than the cheap plastic ones Iâve used before.The water dispenser uses a siphon system that keeps the bowl filled without it ever overflowing, which is a miracle because my cat loves to paw at her water like itâs a mini pool. Itâs also great knowing it can run off batteries if the power ever goes out. I even took a short weekend trip and came home to a relaxed, well fed cat instead of the usual pouty gremlin waiting by her dish. My Kitten Loves It â Fun and Convenient!
I absolutely love this Rojeco automatic feeder and water dispenser set! Itâs so convenient and keeps my new kitten on a consistent feeding schedule. The large capacity means I donât have to refill it constantly, and the stainless steel bowls are easy to clean. My favorite part is watching the kitty run to the food dish the second he hears the kibble drop â itâs the cutest thing! Love it, except the plastic trays
I do love having this, but I will say having plastic as the base for the food and water is generally not accepted as they can contain bacteria from the water and food. The plastic parts are not machine washable so must be washed by hand. It is nice to have a stainless steel lay-in for both water and food but fact is the water is still going to touch the plastic the entire time, absorbing bacteria, i recommend to wash often. This device is NOT a smart device and can not be used with a phone/internet, it is all controlled from the base, easy to use still. Its not very loud when it dispenses food, if anything the food being dispensed into the stainless steel tray is louder than the dispenser motor itself. All in all its a good device if you wash it often (as you should anyway). I also recommend using R.O. filtered water or some kind of water that isnt hard, as it does tend to scale up at the bottom of the dispesnser. It comes with a cleaning wand to reach into the containers but its very cheap, I would recommend buying a long skinny scrub brush to get all the way in there,
