Comfortable, versatile and durable harness for binoculars and camera
This is a lightweight, adjustable harness which works well for my Nikon Coolpix 950 camera and Nikon Monarch binoculars. After 2 years of use, they look new.

Skeptical at first, now a convert!
I couldn’t imagine this harness would be comfortable to wear for hours of birding, but testing it during two weeks of sweaty intensive daily birding in Costa Rica made me a huge fan! This is the best binocular strap/harness I’ve used in tandem with my padded camera harness. As a petite woman, I’ve tried and tossed a lot of highly recommended harness systems that just aren’t made for people like me. This one works for lots of body types. When wearing both camera and binoculars, I use this as a single strap slung diagonally across my chest, with my Nikon P950 on a padded harness in front of me (this goes on top of the camera harness). The bungee cord easily glides over the camera harness, so switching between bins and camera in the field is simple and quick. When I don’t bring the camera, I wear this as a traditional harness with the bins in front. I especially appreciate being able to “lock” my bins to the side while hiking uphill, walking briskly, or birding by bike.Such a simple, elegant, low-cost solution compared with so many overbuilt, overly complicated harnesses!

Essential equipment for birders who move
This lightweight strap is the perfect modification to your binoculars, especially if you tend to move around – hike, walk, climb, sit on rocks – while you watch birds. You can wear it like a regular binocular strap around your neck, you can wear it your across your body to keep binos from flying forward when you bend down, or you can go full-on bino-bra and wear them like the harness it’s intended to be. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver and very comfortable in any configuration. I love mine so much I got some for my husband, who’s a reluctant accomplice bird-watcher. He (begrudgingly) likes it too.

Good idea that needs improvements
I’ve used binoculars for over 60 years now, and tried all sorts of neck straps and harnesses. This system looked like it would work well because of the different configurations, although after using it for awhile I have tended to just use the harness version most.I like the light weight, the versatility of the configurations including the ones that hold your bins so they don’t flop, and that the straps don’t stretch out.I do not like that the straps tend to get mixed up and tangled, and are fairly difficult to change around to make them in the proper position. The back tightening knob is perhaps the most irritating part because it’s uncomfortable to sit back and the end straps tend to poke out of my back like a black fountain. The knob also doesn’t work very easily, at least mine doesn’t work as effortlessly as in the video. So far, I’m a little on the fence about this setup. I want it to work but it needs improvements.

Nice, Light, adjustable
These really do hold my binoculars close to my chest and prevent them from swinging around when walking or climbing over things. By adjusting the tension, you can have a slight bit of pull on them when you have the binoculars up to your eyes, which helps stabilize the view. Pretty long, once adjusted there is a fair amount of excess cord hanging down my back- I know I could trim them but I haven’t– not that big of a deal.

Great lightweight harness solution.
I go birding every day, so my binocular gets used heavily. While I’ve never had issues with a conventional neck strap in terms of fit or fatigue, in warm weather the back of my neck gets… pretty swampy. But I’ve always found the cross-strap harness alternatives rather unwieldy and inconvenient. This product â recommended to me by a couple of fellow birders â is the exact solution I needed. It keeps the sweat off my neck, goes on and off fairly quickly, and doesn’t add extra bulk to whatever I’m wearing. It’s been a great addition to my everyday birding gear. I even ordered some additional accessories direct from the RYO website so I could further customize my rig.

Neck Saver!!
Able to fit a tall frame with no issues. Binoculars felt weightless, and my neck thanked me!
Birder –
This binocular harness is awesome. It’s so comfortable you don’t know you’re wearing it. And it’s so easily adjusted. Very easy to lift the binoculars up to your eyes with the harness on. So much more comfortable than wearing a strap around your neck. I’d recommend it to anybody. Very happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

This is light weight unlike some of the other harnesses for binoculars.

This harness works just as well as they say it does. We liked it so much that I bought a second one so that my wife can use it for binoculars and I can use the other one for the camera. It’s completely comfortable to wear over just a shirt, which is surprising in view of the thinness of the elastic chords, even when used with fairly heavy 10 x 42 binoculars or with a bridge camera. Sometimes I carry both the binoculars and the camera using the camera harness as a shoulder sling and the binoculars on my chest and find that it’s still easy to access both of the devices. Everything stays put as you move around, which is very good for us as we usually have the dog with us and that involves frequent bending forward when conventional methods of carrying stuff lead to the kit swinging around in front and concussing the mutt. However when you want to use the kit you can just swing it up to your eye without any trouble at all. Can’t recommend this enough, well worth the price.

Brilliant harness, fully adjustable and takes the weight of my binoculars off my neck.

The single bungee cord is far superior to the strap type harnesses for comfort and easy on and off. At least for light binos. I’m using it on 8×25 that weigh about 11 oz. Excellent. I ordered 2 more. Haven’t tried them on the 10×42 though.
