OK keep in mind price point with this reviewFor the price, it’s perfect. It’s not super sturdy and will most likely break in a few weeks but it’s absolutely amazing. My 9 week old kittens are enamored and when it breaks, it will be their fault. They love it. Hours of entertainment on the first day. All the attachments are appealing to the girls and I had as much fun as they did. I ordered a second already.

Great Concept, Horrible Execution
First of all, it came broken. This thing is cheaply made. It arrived with the handle busted up, the tip of the rod busted off & in pieces, the string falling off, and reel falling off. I decided to try and fix it cuz my cat had already discovered it and wanted to play. Had to get rid of the broken plastic and duct tape up the handle, as well as attach the top & fix the line that was falling off. I was excited to order an item where I could cast out the toy & play with my cat in a bigger scale. Donât be fooled by the pictures, this reel is a joke & there is no casting it. Itâs pretty much just for show. Yes, it does move, but very slowly & I’m pretty sure thereâs no baring inside. The string barely comes out when you do a casting motion and then just slowly releases in front of you from the weight of the toy. Not that it would go far anyway, cuz the string is so short. So basically, youâre getting the same thing as a regular cat wand, but more expensiveâ¦and more bulkyâ¦and more broken. Oh, and did I mention the real squeaks? The plastic grinds on plastic causing some awesome, nonstop squeaking when using the piece of junk real. And thereâs this little metal piece that sticks out of the real that youâre supposed to use as a lock/unlock to cast. Itâs and unfinished aluminum like strip, sharp, sticks, and is hard to maneuver. So over all, the only thing decent is the toys you can attach. Even those are disappointing as they all have bells, most of which are connected in a way I cannot remove. My cat wonât play with the ones with bells. So ya, I paid for a busted up, barely working, glorified cat wand with only a few usable (for me) toy attachments. Iâd say save your $$. Buy something else.

This is a fun toy for cats and people, but does need longer string.
This is a really fun cat toy. Cats love it and casting the lure is fun for me. It also comes with several lures which was a nice surprise. The negative thing I must say is that the string is too short. I would guess it to be around three feet. This is not nearly long enough in my mind. Adding a good length of string to it made it ever so much better. I did have a user error moment with it also, but it was my fault. There is a little toggle switch on the left side of the reel that makes casting much easier. Again, do plan on adding more string if you purchase this.

My cats love it so much they couldnât WAIT to get it open! They opened it and took the attachments out of the plastic before I even had a chance to!Other reviews say the string is too short, but for me I donât use the full length string anyway, just the pole. Mine loves to bite and break the string so more for me to use again later.The attachments mustâve had catnip in them/on them (although I donât remember seeing it in the description) bcuz mine went crazy like with catnip. The locking mechanism on the reel could be better. The reel could have a covering of some sort so it doesnât rut so much trying to use the locking mechanism..Overall, I think this item is still a good deal. You may just need to hide everything when done.

Cat’s dream
My cat is one of those that prefers the box, rather than the gift. However this fishing pole drives him crazy. He absolutely loves it. He now has a routine. Everyone morning, after breakfast, he sits next to this toy begging to be played with. Every night after dinner, again, sitting next to the toy to play. I’ve never seen him so engaged.

Very Happy Cat!
My cat loves this toy. I really liked how it came with so many attachments to put on the pole. It’s not the most quiet toy, but it is fun to use to play with my cat. We’ve had it for a couple months and everything has held up great, so I’d say we’ve gotten our money’s worth!
