Nice little lamp.
I bought this for my hatchling red-eared slider.It’s a little too big for the current turtle setup, but it works great. The shape directs the light perfectly, keeping the light in a concentrated area, allowing the rest of the enclosure to remain free of the light.There isn’t anything special about the dome compared to others; it’s great for space saving designs, it’s sturdy and the provided clamp holds it securely in place. It’s easy to wipe down and there aren’t any visible electrical issues.

having issues
I liked this light fixture, but it is a bit big and bulky to accommodate. It has also gone through three light bulbs in a very short time. I am not certain whether it is the lamp’s fault or not, but I have two domes, and the other one has been fine with one light, and this one, as I said, has already burned out three bulbs. I don’t know if I got a bad light fixture or if it is just proof of the quality of this fixture. I will not be using it any longer, though.

Hard to go wrong with this light fixture!
Awesome light. I love that it’s for up to 160W bulbs. I had a few others the same physical size that wouldn’t work because of the max wattage but this one worked perfectly! I also love the power switch on the cord has clear labeled on/off marks on it. Some are hard to tell especially when using heat emitters that don’t produce light. This worked perfectly and was everything I needed. I have only found 1 bulb that wouldn’t work in this fixture and that is only because it was too long and I don’t hang my lights. I bought a uvb bulb that will not fit in a 5.5in fixture that is not hung. I didn’t intend for it to go in this fixture but I figured I would try it since I hadn’t wrote this review yet. It stuck out about 1/4 an inch too much to sit flat on the tank. That would be my 1 watch out for this fixture. Check the physical size of your bulb if you don’t plan on hanging the light.

Nice Light Fixture
This is a great light fixture for the price! It is beautifully powder-coated and well-built. The socket is easy to screw a lightbulb into and fits my ceramic heat bulb perfectly. The wire hanger it comes with is very secure once in place also. I appreciate that it has a handy on/off switch also so I don’t have to plug and unplug it under the table every time I need to use it. My beardie very much appreciates this!

Makes the dragon happy and warm
Does what it says.Good light – strong enough to run a 150 watt heater bulb with no issue. Comes with an on off switch and a handle to be able to hold it (the lamp gets very hot)The bearded dragon is happy with it – what more do I need.
