This is the brightest and best LED UVB bulb I’ve ever seen or tried so far.
This is the brightest and best LED UVB bulb I’ve ever seen or tried so far. It’s literally almost a night and day difference how much brighter this is than other bulbs I’ve tried. It’s so much brighter than any spotlight style UVB bulb I’ve tried as well. I recently added a smaller circular LED UVB bulb and that did next to nothing either. This ReptiKing light just seems to completely outperform them all, but I’m not surprised because ReptiKing has become a fairly consistent and dependable brand for our turtle and bearded dragon needs in recent years. It’s super easy to use, just plug it in and place it on top of your tank screen. You can also easily hang it if you want or need to, hardware is included to do that. It does not have a timer, but to me that’s a non-issue since I have a dual sided power strip – one side is constant power, the other side is on a timer. This light functions great and as expected when plugged into the timed power strip. We actually have 2 dragons we just rescued, so please forgive the previous owner’s crazy decor choice, but I’m including this photo anyway so you can see the difference. The tank on the left has the new ReptiKing 16″ LED UVB light, as well as a traditional UVB and Heat Lamp setup. The tank on the right is just using a traditional UVB and Heat Lamp setup.

Very bright and my russian tortoise loves it!
We were given a russian tortoise who came with the improper cage. This light works well on this wire cage. When we get a new enclosure, this light will be able to with her to it. It doesn’t get too hot like the ceramic heat lamp does. You can see from my pictures of the cage, the first one the light strip is off, and the next picture the light is on. It is a bright, warm light that my tortoise loves! This comes with clips so you can hang it. It also included a cord, so I could get additional lights and plug them into each other. For this enclosure, one lightstrip is plenty. I was amazed at how much it lit up her enclosure. This has UVB light, which is very important for reptiles. This helps mimic sunlight. We have both types of light for her enclosure, and she gets a lot of time outside the cage and outdoors. While she is inside, we have this light on during the day for her. This was very easy to install! I simply sat it on top of the enclosure and turned it on. We hooked it to a smart plug, so it gets turned on and off every day at the same time. It is a very good value for the money since its easy to add lights if you need them.

Works great at lighting up the enclosure.
The amount of light coming off the LEDs is very nice. brightens up the second half of the enclosure that my dragon loves. Before i got it it would only venture into that section to go after escaped food. Now he will go all over the place. The pics don’t completely show how much more light it gives to the enclosure but its more then doubles it. I just place mine on top of the enclosure. Even though it is LED the top of the light does get warmer then you would think. Not enough to instantly burn but i wouldn’t want to hang onto it for a long time. There is no timer but i just use a 3 way programable timer to control the lights and the heater separately. Easily found on amazon. Mine is an outdoor timer control from the smart life app. This dose not put any heat into the enclosure just alot of light. The LEDs are completely exposed that allows for all the UVA/B to get out without degrading the plastic cover over time. That said mine has been knocked to the floor twice now and is still working. For a light for your reptile this is a big thumbs up.

Very Nice LED UVB/UVA light for reptiles.
This LED UVB light is a 10 W light with multiple LED lighting and is supposed to last a lot longer than regular UVB bulbs. It says it will last for 24 months. It seems to be made out of quality material and seems to be very durable. It generates a little heat, but is mostly for the UVB’s. It works great. I haven’t had a problem with it and my bearded dragon loves to bask under it. Very easy to install. You just plug it up and it also has an extra cord where you can plug it into another light like a T5 light or heat light. It is a little pricey at $52 but if it actually lasts 24 months then it’s very much worth it because you need to change out your UVBs every six months.

    Actual UVB output!
While I don’t own reptiles, I used to work on the stuff all the time so I’ve got some chops to speak on this product.Cons: No way to separate the UVA and UVB from the white, they’re all in the same circuit. No cover for the front of the light – the LEDs are exposed to the elements.Pros: The UV output is legitimate, being both UVA and UVB (I verified this with wavelength-specific minerals and a ZWB filter over the light.) The visible light output is pretty decent, and is certain to illuminate upwards of a 35 gallon terrarium with no issue. It is a small unit, comes with a power cord and link cord in case you have multiple units you wish to link up (within reason, the switch on the power cord does have a limited amperage rating.)Separate out the UV output from the white output and add a cover slip on the front and this would have been a wonderful unit.

Good size, works fine, no timer though
Great size, great light coverage. Not the fastest or most modular to attach to your enclosure compared to others. Also doesn’t have a timer feature which is becoming pretty standard these days, so that feels like a bit of a let down.

    Keeps my gecko happy.
Good light. I found the compact size good for mounting on the underside of my metal shelving units using silicone tape. This light is actually quite a bit brighter than my 24″ bar, I’m quite impressed. The color temperature is good and it has less flicker than other led based lights I’ve used. The cost is about right, to good, for the quality, which I find excellent with metal housing and firm connection points. Weak connections are my bane! You’ll find none here. Installation was easy for me, I mounted the light directly to the underside with the tape. Many lights get too hot to do this with, and fall off, but this one actually stays out despite the brightness! Great functionality. My geckos and invertebrates like this and I love how clear they look under it.
