reasonably priced
I got this because I am setting up a turtle tank and for the price you can’t beat for a 2pack. I would be buying from the seller again especially if the price stays reasonable. they came packaged well and they fit perfect in my dome fixtures for my basking platform. I am not sure about lifespan or heat since I have not hooked them up yet but from my research they should last me a least a year replacing about every 6 months to ensure your reptile gets the heat it needs.

Useful for my turtles
As an aquatic turtle owner of 30 years, when it’s time to bring them indoors for the winter from their custom outdoor ponds, basking bulbs are essential for their well being. I typically use 100 watt minimum bulbs such as these. These bulbs when I tested them out put out good heat for the basking areas, which is important for turtles to thermoregulate and digest their food. It also allows me to better adjust the height of the lamp and heat levels of the basking areas.Unless it’s mercury vapor, these bulbs only emit UVA rays, which is fine as my turtles do just fine during the winter months with these kind of bulbs since they are adults. If they were babies I would add supplemental UVB via some other bulbs.I can’t attest to the longevity of these bulbs yet because it’s not time to bring my turtles indoors yet, but these otherwise seem like good quality bulbs. We will see if they live up to their 3000 hour lifespan. However, they state 4-6 hours per day. I usually run my bulbs up to about 8 hours per day, so we will see how long they last running that many hours daily.The base of the bulbs fit in your standard light sockets and dome lamps and thus are easy to install.They are also a decent price at around $12 for a 2 pack.
