Compared to ON/OFF mode thermostats, PID thermostats ensure that the temperature of the terrarium remains constant while avoiding temperature differences caused by frequent on/off switching. Energy savings also extends lamp life by up to 45%.

Very good thermostat
Does what it says. Controls the temperature of my CHE for my whites tree frog. Super simple to set & change. Smaller than expected which is a good thing but the digital display is large enough to read without my glasses. Happy with this purchase!

Works Great!
This works great. I use it with a 20 watt incandescent bulb to keep petri dish cultures at a constant temperature inside a small cooler. I love that you can use almost any sort of dimmable bulb depending on how much heat you need and the size of your enclosure. I tested it using a bluetooth thermometer and the temperature remained perfectly flat despite fluctuations in the ambient temperature (cooler house at night). Its easy to use, easy to set up, and it JUST WORKS!

A simple dimming thermostat for a good price
I was looking for a dimming thermostat for my leopard gecko enclosure, but I didn’t need it to be as complex as some of the other ones on the market. Super easy it is to set up and does its job well. It also remembers your configured settings even after being turned off and on again by a timer, which is an absolute must for any reptile electronics. It’s perfect for what I needed!

Do not use – not accurate and will not keep your enclosure warm
Does not work! Device shows that it is at 105 and I have an extra temp probe showing that it is only at 92.8. This is NOT safe and it is not something I feel comfortable using with my pet.Beardies need a hot temp and I set that in the device and it is suppose to stay at that or within 5 degrees and this is WAY under.
