got wet and still works !!!
iâve seen reviews that made me skeptical of getting this regarding it getting wet and not working. mine got wet during a move and sure enough stopped working, **BUT** i took out the battery, wiped it off, and left the thermometer in the sun to dry, and itâs good as new and still as accurate as before. i just bought a second one for the cold side of my ball pythons tank. she loves climbing on them and just hanging out and vibing and i love that i can keep an accurate track of her humidity/heat levels. definitely recommend !!! they can be a little hard to read in certain lighting but you can fix that by putting a piece of white tape behind it if it bothers you that much 🙂

Celsius glitch can be fixed
So I didn’t see anything about this in other reviews. Sometimes this will change to Celsius reading. There is no external button on this device to switch it back. If you simply remove and reinsert the small battery it will default back to Farenheit, just FYI.The device itself is functional but not amazing. Gets the job done basically. Hard to read unless you are looking directly at it but the suction is passable on the cup and the reading is pretty accurate. ~85-90% accurate I would say based on comparing to another temp gauge.

Definitely recommend!!
Love this little thing! I can move it anywhere in my iguanas terrarium @ any time. U can set it up in 2 different positions (see pics). The digits r easy to read and itâs super accurate. Iâve only had it not work 2x but Iâm sure that dropping it in the drinking water didnât help much. All I did was took the battery out for a while & it worked perfectly again. Itâs way more cost effective than the ones that u stick on the side w/a sticky back. Once u take those off u canât put them back on. The sticky back is a pain to get off the glass as well. If u want a clean, easy, effective way to monitor the heat & humidity of a terrarium this it the best option!! Only thing I would change is making it 100% water proof!

Broke when trying to put the battery in .
Well when I pulled the tab off for the battery to work, the battery case came out with it . I tried to put it back in and when I did it was stuck . I was very careful but the battery would not stay in its tinny cases. When I thought I had it in the temperature daily would not turn on at all. Took some effort to take the battery out again and put a new one on the tiny case .However that tiny case with the battery would not go into the slot .I ended up breaking the case that holds the battery.So I never had the chance to see if it would work .It’s junk , don’t know if anyone else had a problem with it .Being from Zoo Med I thought they sold good stuff but this temperature gage went into the trash bin.Very disappointed.Now I have to look for a different temperature gage.

Should have returned them but I usually do not return stuff. You can’t read them! The concept is great, like the way you can change the way it sits in Terrarium but can not see it. It is CLEAR with black markings

Accurate Readings, Easy Display, Best for Glass
I absolutely love these. I just set up my first ever bearded dragon enclosure and these are so handy. I compared the readings to those made with a calibrated tool and they are accurate. The suction cups donât work well on the material of the sides of my enclosure (pvc) so I have them stuck on the inside of the glass doors until I decide what kind of adhesive or fastener I will use to get them to stay where I want them.
