This bulb only lasted about two months. Other than that it does the job. It probably would last longer if purchased in a store. It should last at least a year. Probably got dropped.Does the job.

I currently have seven Exo Terra terrariums filled with geckos and bearded dragons. I normally purchase the Zoo Med UVB bulbs. After testing the Zoo Med bulbs and these bulbs, I find that there is no significant difference except for the price. From now on, I will be purchasing the Reptizoo UVB bulbs.

Defective
Product I received was outright defective, I tried it on several other lamps around the house just to be sure. For such an expensive bulb this is unacceptable.

Poor company communication
I bought this for my bird and he seems to love it. My only issue is the company has poor communication. I emailed them to find out the Kelvin and they eventually responded “around 6000K”. Ok, I know that, I can see that as the light has a slight blue tint to it. I need to know the EXACT Kelvin, because birds are not suppose to have more than 5700K. They never responded again. I am disappointed in their lack of communication and knowledge on the bulb’s Kelvin as the package included a note saying to email them with any questions and a proper Kelvin range is important for both birds and reptiles. All the other reptile/avian bulbs list the Kelvin. Unfortunately, this bulb is the only one I can find that is short enough (6 inches) to fit in the lamp.The bulb arrived all in one piece. It works as described and it does not get too hot to touch.
