Worth it
I like this we got it for our hermits however we do need a second one as we keep our house at 67 and the heat mat only gets the tank up to about 74 which is pretty decent but not hot enough for the babies! It sticks really good and seems durable and easy to use as well and functions well as well I’d say it’s worth it!

I gave this 4 stars. The pad heats up fine and does what it promised, for the most part. The problem is with the sticky factor. Maybe I got one that had been in the warehouse for a long time or something, but the backing did not want to peal off the sticky, so it ended up sticking to the backing better than the pad and it even tore in some areas. Once I finally got all of the sticky off the backing and onto the pad I positioned it on the terrarium where Wyvern, our bearded dragon, likes to lounge. The next morning I went in to see how he is enjoying the new heat pad and saw that it had come unstuck. Only about 1/2 of the sticker was still holding the pad in place and the heat pad was hanging away from the glass. The pad does get hot and does warm the inside, but they would do well to improve the sticky element.

Didnât work with natural substrate
Returned right away. This was needed to go under a rock for our lizard to give it a good basking space. Instructions that came with it said it couldnât go under more than a couple of inches of substrate, far less than we need for burrowing for our lizard. Might work for someone just using a mat for their critter? Also, then tried it on the side of the aquarium, which is supposed to be possible, and it provided not nearly enough heat, so the lizard rested itself up against the side of the cage. Removing it was a nightmare because the glue had to be rubbed off with alcohol And took a very long time. If you order this, maybe make sure you have enough information to save yourself time and frustration. Getting the limitations from the package once it arrived wasnât helpful.

Great Hermit Crab Heater
Great heater for my hermit crabs tank. Works exceptionally well and keeps the temperature stable and my hermit crabs happy and warm!

It works great, every once in a while it will be a degree hotter or colder than I set it but thatâs due to room temperature. To set it hold the âsetâ button down for 3 seconds, the temp will flash, then use arrows to change temperature to warmer or cooler then simply press the set button again once and it will set that temp and work its way to it. Itâs not an instant temp change!
