Very easy to install
This is about as easy as it gets. Find the location on your tank to install this thermometer. I selected a corner that is not blocking my view and near a power source. This is rechargeable thermometer so the cord is not needed all the time. I charged the thermometer before I installed it to the tank. It has been going almost 2 months on that charge. The battery should last a long time between charges since the screen only displays when you press the button. This display has good size numbers that are very easy to read. You donât have to remove the thermometer from the tank to charge. It can be charged in place. I have compared the temp reading to a couple other thermometers I have. The temps are all within fractions of each other. I am very happy with this thermometer and it has a very affordable price.

Simple, Accurate, and Easy to Read
I got this for my kidsâ turtle tank so we could easily check the water temperature at any time. It was super easy to install and seems to be very accurate. I attached it to the outside of the tank, and it sticks firmly â just note that once itâs on, itâs hard to remove, so youâll likely need to recharge it while itâs still attached.I really like that you just tap the button to see the temperature, and the big blue LED numbers light up clearly, even from across the room. After a few seconds, it automatically turns off to save battery, which makes the charge last a long time.Overall, it works exactly as advertised â simple, modern, and reliable. Perfect for keeping an eye on your tankâs temperature without any hassle.

It works⦠but accuracy could be better
I was intrigued by the rechargeable feature of this thermometer. I have similar ones but they do not recharge. The accuracy of this one is listed at 0.9 degrees F, which is a pretty big margin of error (others I have are supposedly 0.1). Even after leaving it on the tank all night, when tapping the display to read the temp it would initially show a higher temp and then jump down sometimes up to .7 degrees or more – both readings were still slightly higher than what my other thermometers read (about .5-1 degree difference). I find the jumping around to not be particularly comforting though one could argue that it is technically within 0.9 degrees which is what the listing describes.There is no way to see the battery level without plugging it in. I first tried a battery pack and it started at 90.0 and disconnected before it got to âFUL.â Plugging it into a wall brick did the trick and within a couple minutes it said it was âFUL.â Understandably, the charging of the battery raised the temperature a few degrees which caused a moment of panic before I realized that the water was not actually suddenly too warm and it was just the battery.I could not get it to switch to Celsius by long pressing the screen though I only tried a few times. The display is bright, it comes on easily and does stay on for about 30 seconds.I am going to leave it on the tank – I wanted a thermometer for the side that I sit by, but I am not sure how often I will use it as the range of accuracy is somewhat larger than what I prefer. However, it is accurate enough to let me know that my heater isnât malfunctioning, which once a tank is set up is the main reason to keep monitoring the temperature.

Completely accurate I do double check this with two other thermometers super simple and attach is securely to the side of the tank. Wonderful addition to help watch the fluctuations and be sure that my tank is not too warm.

Accurate mini rechargeable aquarium light
This rechargeable digital aquarium thermometer is a great little gadget and I was immediately impressed by how small and compact it is. This allows it to be placed discreetly on the outside of the tank. The LED display screen is very bright when you activate it (by touching it), making it incredibly easy to read the temperature at a glance, day or night. It also seems to be quite accurate, as I compared it to another thermometer and the readings were consistent. The rechargeable battery is a huge plus, adding to the value by saving you the hassle and cost of constantly buying new batteries.The thermometer is easy to install with its strong adhesive, and the ability to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius is a nice feature. Itâs also suitable for a wide variety of tanks. However, my only concern is that for smaller tanks that I occasionally wash in the sink, there isn’t an easy way to remove the thermometer to prevent it from getting wet. This is a minor inconvenience, but it’s something to consider. Overall, this is a very useful and well-designed product that provides excellent value for its features and accuracy.

Good idea, but not accurate enough
This is a cool idea, but the readings just aren’t accurate enough for it to be worth the money or having an extra thing attached to your tank. The reading is closer to the temperature of the room than the tank.It might be a good idea for a terrarium or something where it can be secured inside the area you are trying to monitor the temperature in?

Finally, a Rechargeable Aquarium Thermometer
I run 13 tanks and have several of this style of thermometer. They arenât always spot-on, but what matters most is that theyâre consistent. I double-check them with my laser thermometer and every single one has stayed within 1â2° of that reading, which is perfectly acceptable for me.What really sets this model apart is the rechargeable battery. Iâve been wishing for this feature for a long time. With the button battery versions, itâs always a hassleânever having the right battery on hand, and each one seems to take a different size. Rechargeable fixes that problem completely.I still hit the power button daily just to confirm the temp, and it would be nice if a âconstant onâ feature was available (which would finally make sense with a rechargeable design). Even without that, this is a huge improvement over the disposable battery versions.For the price, these are excellent for tracking tank tempsâaccurate enough, consistent, and now rechargeable.
