Only vest we buy. sturdy – great for all sizes of pups
This is the only harness/vest we use for our senior/special needs rescues. We have them in almost every color (all sizes). For our two with very fat tummies from Cushings It was very easy to take a tuck in the shoulders to make them fit . The velcro allows for some size adjustment so they will fit over a sweater or coat. These are made very sturdy and can be washed. I hang to dry. These are very well made. We have had lab mixes that pull without a problem.

This is the perfect harness for our 9 pound pomapoo. He chewed through the last two – the straps were just too tempting for him. And it was a challenge getting him in and out of harnesses with thin straps. With this harness, you just lay it down on the floor and plop him on top of it. No fuss, no struggles. And the fabric doesn’t rub on him so he can keep it on comfortably for hours. What a great design!

The soft vest harness is well-made and appears very comfortable and durable. The large size was too big and bulky for my 11 pound poodle, but the customer service was excellent and refunded my money. My poodle has a very slender build (chest diameter of 16.5 inches), so the size that would best fit an 11 pound dog of another breed might well be the large size. You might have to do as I did and get one of each size to see what fits the best.Be advised that the jump from the medium size to the large is appreciable: it’s not just the diffence in chest diameter the harness will accomodate – the hardware is considerably larger and more heavy duty on the large harness.It would be ideal if there was a size between the medium and the large, but the medium was barely able to fit my poodle comfortably because the fabric is a little stretchy and not stiff at all.The corresponding size to a medium in this vest style to the style of Puppia soft harness that has a fixed neck opening is a size small. The hardware goes from dainty to larger when you go from the small to the medium in the style with the fixed neck opening.This vest style is slightly more involved to put on than the style with the fixed neck opening, but I prefer it for my poodle because she pulls when she sees a person or another dog. When she pulls, the vest harness doesn’t put any pressure at all on her trachea area whereas the one with the fixed neck opening does a little. Granted, had I gone with the medium rather than the small in the fixed neck opening style, that may not have been an issue.Another reason I prefer the vest harness over the other is that it seems a little more comfortable. Also, since it’s a little vest, it gives my poodle a bit of warmth in a cool house and I feel good about leaving it on her all day.I love Puppia’s Soft Vest Harness so well that I really, REALLY wish it came in “designer” colors and little frilly designs, too! The Puppia soft harness with the fixed neck opening has some absolutely adorable versions!I’m impressed with the look, quality, and comfort of the Puppia vests. Now that I know my dog’s size, I’ll order a couple of different colors in the soft vest style and hope for some new, frilly versions in the near future!

Soft and Comfortable Harness
This would be a five star, but it took forever for them to arrive (almost three weeks!) and the fit is not quite what I had hoped, but maybe I’m chasing rainbows, The quality is really good and the softness great. The” but” is I have two ShihTzu doggies and the fit is good around the middle on both the little boy and the girl, but the chest area is not the best. I have yet to find a harness that does fit them both really well. The hooks for the leash seem to be in the opposite spot that would work best. I’ve tried the harness on backwards and forwards…”.just saying,” I’ve given it my best shot and the dogs are very patient, but the fit is tight at the spot where the harness closes for the leash attachment. Based on other reviews I bought medium. My little girl weighs 9.6lbs and the boy weighs 10.8lbs so I thought these would fit since my 8 yr old pups are trim walkers! They do fit around the adjustable middle, but the chest seems big (long?) and the snap-closure clip area for the leash seems tight. Love this harness for the “non choking ” issue, but still not the great fit I was seeking. To date, these are the best I’ve found so will use them until I find a better fit.

Excellent step-through vest/harness.
This may be the best step-through harness on the market for small dogs. I purchased this yellow one to replace a black one we’ve had for about 10 years. The old one is still working really well – I just wanted to brighten things up with this yellow one (to go with a new orange leash). The Puppia vest/harness is super easy to put on, and seems very comfortable for our Maltese, Oliver. One minor issue I found – user error, not a design flaw. If you are rushing and not paying attention, you may place both front paws in the same opening – I highly recommend this, especially for smaller dogs.

Good fit for a tiny pup!
This was the 3rd harness I bought for my 2 pound Pomeranian puppy. The first 2 I bought locally. I found out that size XS has different measurements depending on the brand, and even model within the brand. First was a style similar to this, but he was easily able to wiggle out of the size XS. The store recommended a cat harness, which fit okay, but every time he jumped and pulled on the leash, it tightened on his neck. I found this here and it was a lot closer to his measurements. It fits him well, and I don’t have to worry about him choking or escaping it. As a bonus, orange was a cheaper color, and it looks great on him. Only thing is you need to watch so your finger doesn’t get pinched when fastening the snap. He is now just over 3 pounds, and will outgrow this harness soon, but I’m grateful to have found this.

Great harness… my pup hated having to have her previous harness pulled over her head, so she much prefers this one. It’s well made, sturdy, and fit’s pretty well. I have a Cavapoo puppy, so she has a very slight frame. As a result there’s a little room around her chest on the front, but it’s still a really good fit.I’ve had two of these, as we bought the medium size for our pup when she was younger, and she’s now grown into a large. We loved the harness so much that we bought the same one in a larger size.To give you a size reference, we got our pup the medium size when she was about 3kg in weight. We switched her over to the large when she was just over 5kg. She’s now just over 7kg in weight and there’s still a bit of room for her to grow into it further.The main clip cannot be adjusted to be made tighter, but the jacket is essentially held on by the large velcro strap behind it, and there is a little room for adjustment there.Overall, couldn’t be happier. The pup hardly knows it’s on when she’s wearing it, it looks great, and it’s very well made. Highly recommended.
