Great trimmers! Work like you would hope. I was tired of paying $100+ every month to get my dogs hair cut and need some trimmers to do it myself. These worked like a charm and were really inexpensive. I have never done my dogs hair before so I was a little nervous, but these made it super easy. COMFORTABLE TO HANDLE NOT TOO LOUD
I have an 18.13 lb Siberian cat whoâs triple coat is very thick up close to his skin and matts in some areas easily. Two years ago in mid to late May I started trimming back a good portion of his coat. I was able to get rid of all of the matts and it kept him cooler over the hot summer days. Last June I moved out of my apartment and put the majority of my belongings into storage 4 hours away from where I currently reside. When I was last in the area of the storage location I went in and searched for the clippers I had been using but had no luck finding them. They had been comfortable for me to use and my kitty had adjusted to the sound of them very quickly. I had a hard time choosing what to buy when I looked to replace the missing trimmer back in April. The one I wound up getting felt awkward to hold, Vinny was put off by its buzzing sound and I wasnât able to get an even trim with it. So I gave up and reverted back to doing short sessions of using a comb and pulling apart his matts. Then I saw this trimmer! It looked quite a bit like the one Iâd used on home the last two years!It came partially charged but I gave it a full charge before trying it out. Itâs not all that loud but when he was laying on the couch or on the floor near me I turned it on a handful of times to gauge his reaction. He clearly heard it and wasnât coming up to investigate. The size and weight of it is comfortable in my hand so I can maneuver in different directions easily. I never got to use it for a long enough period of time for it to possibly heat up so I canât comment on that aspect. Vinny is not comfortable with the buzzing noise or getting clipped this time aroundð I used it three times for maybe 5 minutes each session before he got agitated. Since the move he hasnât cooperated with letting me clip his nails. He pushes at my hands with his huge, strong rear paws and has bitten me a few times! Iâm not surprised that heâs not cooperating with getting groomed either.June 30th I finally collected everything from my storage unit! I came across a big bag filled with my bathroom items and grooming tools. The clippers were in the bag! I got them charged up and checked it out. These two clippers are not that much different from each other. Iâm going to have both of them ready to be used when I make another attempt to finish him up. This time Iâm going to get a table set up where I can have better control over him and I may give him some of his calming medication he gets when we have to travel or heâs experiencing anxiety.I do recommend this trimmer.
