Quality ingredients.
Im giving this product 5 stars because it deserves it. Ingredients are good, instructions are clear. Unfortunately my baby tortoises dont like it made into a mush. They prefer it sprinkled lightly onto their greens, ( like the topper) and I spray lightly after sprinkling on to rehydrate the food. Its easier than making the mixture and then plopping on on the greens.This bag will last me a long time with my 11 babies. Worth it.

This was super easy to mix together to give to my baby sulcatas I have three of them. And they absolutely loved it. They were hesitant at first but then they finished it all. I did have to make more because what I made wasnât enough for all three. They are getting so big now. I am feeding them lettuce with this mixed into it and it works like a charm.Of course Iâm assuming it taste good since they finish it and the quality is there because my babies are growing. Definitely worth the investment in purchasing it.

Baby Sulcata Superfood
I was a little hesitant to get food products when I donât know the company well, but they have a good website with some reviews. I also took this to a friend who has cared for tortoises on a larger scale, and we both agreed this looks likes a very good ingredient list. Itâs a semi fine powder that you mix with water. Definitely smells like hay and pellets. My little tortoise didnât eat it right away but it did look like he picked at it periodically. I will probably try mixing it in/on his greens next time.

There was a strange metallic smell and my tortoise wouldn’t touch it.I tried giving some to a friends tortoise and he seemed to have no issue with it so it might just be a picky animal.I’m not sure what to make of that but for the price I would hope for a better result.

So much better than pellet diets
This is far better than pellet diets that are full of synthetic, gmo, fillers & foods a Sulcata shouldnât eat. The hay is ground up fine & necessary even for babies, without that fiber theyâre gassy & have stomach pains. The probiotics improve gut health. Iâve raised Sullyâs & grassland tortoises from hatchlings & have some rescues. I feed organic fresh grass, organic hay cut up & soaked in water, organic leafy greens & org veggies to all. This will be fed as a supplement along with fresh foods for the best absorption & to ensure theyâre getting all the necessary vitamins & nutrients. They range in age from 9 months to 15 years old. The picture is one hydrated spoon (measured with the included spoon) hydrated. I started my baby out with this on familiar foods so he would eat as he normally does and not be put off by a new food, smell or texture on its own. I also cut up a little fresh grass as a topper. He ate it without hesitation. Sulcatas have ferocious appetites. Iâve had a sick adult Sully I had to force feed for a few days. This would be a good way to get fiber, nutrients & probiotics into the slurry for an ill tortoise.I do have other baby & juvenile grassland tortoises that will get this as a supplement also.I do wish this organic and the protein content was a little lower but itâs not horrible. I do monitor protein, calcium, calcium to phosphorus levels & oxalates, properly hydrate inside & out (drinking & soaking) and keeping humidity high as itâs vital to their health.I have a heavily pyramided rescued adult Sulcata Iâve spent many years nursing back to health. This is the best commercially available Iâve seen so far. It simplifies & provides necessary nutrients for baby sulcatas to help them grow and avoid the problems my sweet, loving rescue has.

Smells great, I didn’t taste it
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a field of grasses and weeds ground into a fine powder? Well, you’re going to find out!If you are allergic to anything maybe take a step back. And do not, DO NOT, open this bag with a fan on or any sort of breeze blowing.Warning against inhalation hazards aside, it does smell very grassy.My tort prefers the chonky pellets the breeder fed him, but I do put thin on them and on his fresh stuff.Seems a little expensive, but I’ve never powdered a field of grass.

Adore these ingredients! Great blend for a baby sulcata! It smells nice too, not overpowering. The scoop makes for easy portion distribution. The feed is small so it’s perfect for hatchlings.

Premium Baby Sulcata Tortoise Food Powder with Calcium…This is a lot of servings for a baby Sulcata, because you mix one part per two parts water and let it sit to absorb. I gave some of this to my baby Sulcata right after feeding her some other food, and she devoured it! I’ll give her a bigger helping next time, and even then, I’m sure this will last a while.I also appreciate that there’s a little spoon in the bag for scooping it out! And that the bag is re-sealable.I attached some photos so you can see the ingredients, what it looks like when prepared, the included spoon, and my Sulcata chowing down.
