Quality Fly Boots
I ordered these fly boots for my older Paint as he is always stomping his feet to get the flys off. They are easy to put on and take off, not too tight or too loose, and he seems to be more comfortable. They are sturdy even after washing them several times in soapy water. The mesh material keeps his legs cool and the smallest of flys off his legs. So far, he has yet to get them off, even when cantering or just rolling around in the pasture. I am very pleased, as is my horse!

Great long-lasting boots
These are the best fly boots my horse has ever worn. They lasted almost 2 months with wearing them every day. Easy to put on, great velcro grip (a little tough to take off given the strength of the velcro so this is not a bad thing). They held up even with all the kicking, stomping and running (he is kept in large paddock & pasture so is very active). Good value for the money and he seems to think they are comfortable. They fit well on my 15.2 thoroughbred. Would buy again

I recently purchased the Premium 4-Pack Horse Fly Boots & Leggings for my horse, and I have to say, they’ve been an absolute success. My horse has always struggled with annoying fly bites on his legs, which often leads to him stomping and getting irritated in the pasture. These boots have provided the perfect solution.First off, the loose-fit fine mesh is great. It’s breathable enough to keep him from getting sweaty, but the mesh is still fine enough to keep even the tiniest pests from getting through. The Royal Blue color is also really vibrant and looks fantastic on him.What I appreciate most is the design. The stay-on fasteners with secure Velcro are incredibly reliable. I’ve had issues with other fly boots slipping or coming undone, but these have stayed securely in place through all of his movements, from walking to cantering. The support strips and anti-stomp design are also a huge plus. They provide a little extra stability and seem to discourage the constant stomping that used to be such a problem.Putting them on is a breeze, which is a lifesaver when you have a horse who is a little impatient. The Velcro is strong but easy to adjust, and the boots slide on without a fuss. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making these user-friendly for both the horse and the owner.Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase. These boots have not only protected my horse from fly bites but have also given him a newfound sense of comfort. I’ve noticed he’s much calmer and more content in the field, and his legs are finally free of those red, swollen bite marks. I highly recommend them to any horse owner looking for a durable, effective, and easy-to-use solution for fly protection.

Best Suited For Draft Horses
My wife is a former professional horse groom and provided her insight to this review.First, the mess material is good but there are some major flaws in design. The durability appears suspect and its likely to not last long on an active horsesSecondly, the Velcro is not long enough to make the fit secure on slender show horsesâ legs. We may have needed to order the smaller size.Third, the seam is right on the front of the cannon bone. This could cause irritation.It could be ok for larger draft horses that need the protection.

They actually work!
I’ve always been a little leery about these types of fly boots…the ones that look so open and loose on top like this. But then I learned that these work because apparently flies can’t drop down or fly downwards like a helicopter. I wanted to test it out myself because the flies are soooo bad this year. Lo and behold, they DO work! I have a 16hh paint gelding, and the size large fits him perfectly. He’s while so the color looks fabulous on him (not that this is the most important thing, but the bright blue does make it easy to spot him). They are easy to put on but do take a little effort to remove, only because the velcro is so strong (a huge plus, really). And honestly, for a set of 4 boots, you can’t beat the price. A great value for complete leg protection.
