This product disperses rapidly to establish a chlorine protection quickly. It stabilizes pool water and extends the life of the disinfectant. Use a reliable test kit to determine the stabilizer concentration in the pool water. Follow the included chart to bring the pool water to the desired range of 40-100 ppm. If the pool is new, just refilled, or has no stabilizer; add 4 oz. of this product per 1000 gallons to give the desired range of 40-100 ppm. Add this product slowly into the skimmer, or if desired, premix in a pail of warm water and then add directly to the skimmer. Be sure the filter is clean. Recirculate the water continuously for 24 hours to dissolve completely. Always maintain the chlorine residual in your pool at 2.0-4.0 ppm and pH at 7.4-7.6.

Works fast, works great!
last year I discovered that pool chems from Amazon are just as good as pool chems from the pool store, just way less expensive.Opened the pool a couple weeks ago and my stabilizer had totally crashed. Went to Amazon and saw this at a great price and in a quantity (about 4lbs) that should last me a couple years. Got it next day, and within 24 hours my test strips say “OK for pool” and my chlorine levels aren’t plummeting after baking in the sun all day. only used about 1/3 of the bag to bring my cyanuric levels from almost zero to good in my ~21K gallon pool that has zero shade.Ease of use: I will note that this doesn’t really dissolve immediately in water. Instructions say to dissolve in warm water — I added some to a bucket of 86 degree pool water and it really didn’t dissolve. 86 must not be warm enough. what did work well was just pouring about a cup of the powder into my skimmer (with a skimmer sock) and it dissolved in 2-3 hours with the pump running.will definitely buy again when i need more!

Most affordable way to increase your pool’s CYA! Try my black sock method
Last fall I converted my in-ground pool to salt water but I kept testing low chlorine levels despite the brand new chlorinator running constantly. After doing some research, I learned that I needed to add stabilizer (Cyanuric Acid/CYA) to protect the chlorine from burning off in the sun.At first, I looked into buying liquid stabilizer, but it was way more expensive and I read it can still be a pain to deal with (the acid thickens, settles and clings to the bottom of the jug). So I went with this granular version instead. It’s definitely much more affordable, but does take a little more effort to add to the pool.To test how it dissolved, I tried pouring some granules directly into the skimmer basket as directed on the bag. But after an hour or two, it was all still sitting there undissolved, and I noticed some had also collected in my pump’s strainer basket. Since I needed to add around 4-5 bags (12-16 lbs.) for my 40,000 gallon pool, I didnât want to risk clogging the pump or filter. So instead, I poured the granules into a few thick black tube socks, tied the ends, and placed one sock in each skimmer basket overnight. The next morning, the socks had softened into a cream cheese-like texture. I firmly squeezed the socks and the softened CYA mixed instantly with the skimmer water. Once I had squeezed most of it out, I turned them inside out and dumped out the last clumpy bits and watched them dissolved completely. This only took a few minutes and worked perfectly. Best of all, I saved hundreds of dollars compared to the liquid jugs I nearly bought from the pool store!A few days later after I completed dispersing several bags, I retested my pool water and found the free chlorine levels had skyrocketed and the CYA increased to exactly the levels I expected. Great success!I will definitely buy this brand in the future (and will keep some tube socks handy!). Highly recommend!Pro-tip: use a black sock so you can easily visually confirm that you squeezed all of the stabilizer out!

Works well
I was really impressed with this stabilizer. It was easy to measure out and dissolved quickly without leaving clumps at the bottom of the pool. Within a few days, I noticed my chlorine levels holding steady even after several sunny afternoons, which was always a problem before. It gave me peace of mind knowing I wasnât wasting chlorine and money. The bucket is a good size for the price, and I still have plenty left for future top-offs. Overall, itâs been reliable, simple to use, and made pool care less stressful.

Great Pool Stabilizer â A Must-Have for Clear, Balanced Water! ð¦ðââï¸
The Pool Mate 1-2604B Pool Stabilizer is an absolute game-changer for maintaining a healthy and efficient chlorine balance in my pool. Living in Texas, where the sun can be relentless, keeping chlorine from burning off too quickly is a challengeâbut this stabilizer does the job perfectly!ð Why This Product Works So Well:â Protects Chlorine from UV Rays â Drastically reduces chlorine loss, so I donât have to add chemicals as often.â Saves Money on Chlorine â Since the chlorine lasts longer, Iâm using way less over time, which cuts down on costs.â Dissolves Well â Unlike some stabilizers that take forever to mix, this one dissolves efficiently when added properly.â Keeps Water Crystal Clear â Helps maintain consistent chlorine levels, reducing algae and cloudy water issues.â Works for Saltwater & Chlorine Pools â I use a saltwater chlorinator (Intex QS1200), and this keeps my pool perfectly balanced. If you’re tired of chlorine vanishing in the sun and constantly having to adjust levels, this is the stabilizer you need! Just be patientâit can take a few days to fully integrate, but once it does, youâll notice a huge difference in chlorine efficiency. Highly recommend for any pool owner! ðð¥
