Great for new born snakes, & geckosâ¦.
Bought these for our new clutch of ball pythons and they fit them snug as a bug! They are super sturdy, lightweight, with a smooth appearance, the babies found them to be comfortable and they didnât have a strong plastic smell.

This > Pangea Reptiles / Vivarium Electronics Medium Hide
The large hide box measures almost identical to the medium size from Pangea Reptiles / Vivarium Electronics, however there are two differences. 1) The opening is wider on this one, which I prefer over the other. The entrance measures about 2 & 3/8″ compared to the Vivarium Electronics hide which the entrance measures 1 & 7/8″. The bigger entrance is more ideal for my snake in particular (an adult Antaresia / Children’s python) who is small enough to make use of the full hide, but just thick enough that the entrance gives him an easier time getting in and out. And 2) this weighs slightly less than the Vivarium Electronics hide. The VE hide weighed in at 166g and this one weighed in at 151g. So it is ever so slightly thinner/lighter, but you can tell it is still a quality injection molded plastic. It’s a winner for me, and it’s ideal if you have a smaller species.

Good little hide
Good small hide for young snakes or smaller reptiles. I donât love that the outer part is textured. Just makes cleaning a little harder but not a big deal.
