Slide 2 Towards the Handle!
Unless you want yours to end up like mine of a more expensive version of this toy quickly did. They’re fine as toys as long as you don’t allow your pet to catch & hold onto it. What you see in my photo looks great compared to its present state, down to a 1/16th of the wings & a yellow & a pink ball.The manufacturer of one of them suggested using one of the winged critters at a time to make the toy last longer. Since only 2 of them move, the only way to do that is to slide those two to different positions on the wire. They’re safest at the handle end, leaving two wings which actually do make enough noise to awaken the hunter in your cat. To prolong its life, hide it in between play sessions, though, because Mylar that’s thin enough to make rustling noises isn’t very sturdy.

The one toy my lazy senior cat likes!
My cat is 11 this year and has never been playful. I can count the number of play sessions lasting more than 5 mins on 1 hand! I’ve bought every toy imaginable for him but no go.Recently saw a video with this toy and thought why not? Boy oh boy did we hit the jackpot! I’ve bought many feather and string toys over the years but something about the fluttering noise and movement of these wings really rev him up! He often would just stare as I used the feather string toys or laser pointer, even lose track of it visually, but the wings really grab his attention and keeps it. My lazy 11 year old cat is reaching, jumping, wiggling and chasing like a kitten! He loves it so much that when he gets tired out and we put away the toy, he would go over to the drawer and paw at it even tho he’s worn out. This had greatly improved his enrichment, and with healthier cat food, he’s not like an 11 year old early senior at all.My cat likes to grab it and do the chew/kick to the toy but so far no wings have fallen off. If it does I think it will be easy to hot glue it back on there. He has not punctured the wings yet either. I’m gonna come back and purchase if it ever breaks as this is the single toy in the world that he actually plays with! If your cat really likes watching and going after bugs, give this a try!

Great toy!
This toy is a cheap eight dollar toy. I have owned it for a week now and it is pretty beat up but still intact. Toys like this are meant to be replaced. With that said, it is a great value. My cats love this toy! The plastic wings make a fluttering sound when I fly it through they air that really peaks my cats’ interest. They come running when they hear it. They love to hunt it and once they catch it they carry it in their mouth and bring it over to my husband like it was prey. It is a really simple toy. Once it it torn I can easily make a replacement dragonfly from materials I find at the craft store. I even left it on the floor and my cats played with it by herself for 30 minutes. It is lightweight so it flips and slides across the floor.

My cat’s favorite toy
I bought this after watching several Youtube cat videos, almost as a splurge for my at because he can’t seem to be interested in a toy for more than a month. I was expecting him to lose interesting but he ended up destroying his very first one out of all the excitement. He actually loved it so much that after I threw out the demolished wand and was waiting for a new one to arrive, he got it out of the trash can and brought it back to my room, begging me to play with him. With my kitty, it is a hit. In terms of how sturdy and well made this thing is, that is up for debate. The wings are flimsy and not as sturdy or long lasting as other cat toys, but I think that is part of the reason why this toy is attractive to kitties. Maybe because it is so flimsy with its translucent wings, it imitates what a real dragon fly or bugs look like to them. Who knows, but one thing I do know is that out of 15+ toys my cat has, this is the one he always bring up to me without a fail.

Excellent toy for bored cat
My cat is old and bored of normal play, but toys like this still manage to get him excited and jumping all over the place. The movement of the wings on the dragonflies is very fast and light, making it look like an actual bug. It also makes a sound when you move it quickly that interests my cat. The only issue is the price. The toy is not sturdy compared to the price and cat easily be broken by an aggressive cat. Everything is held together with glue. However, I know this isn’t an issue with the product so much as the inflated price from importing. Also, the lightness that makes the toy not sturdy is what makes it so fun for my cat.

My cat has a lot of toys and this is one of her favorites. She goes crazy every time we bring this out for her to play. The durability of the dragonfly is a bit flimsy due to the plastic but the dragonfly shimmers and the rustling of the sound catches my catâs attention and she loves chasing and catching it. Highly recommended!
