Still Love it!!!
I bought this crate because I have a large Himalayan cat that weighs about 17 lbs. We had a slightly smaller crate with the plastic door and he is strong enough he pushed the door so hard it flexed and he got out. The handle also broke when we tried to pick him up. We put him in this one and he didn’t even get excited, I believe because he had more than enough room. My other cats also like it.The top opening is great or loading because you can drop them right in, instead of having to try and push them in butt first. It is larger than any I have owned before, but it is worth it so the cats can sit up inside instead of having to lay down.It is easy to put together, btw the top wires of the door do not go into the holes, they fit into the 2 points you see at the top corners of the door. I wondered if I too got the wrong size door but it fits perfectly. The instructions could tell you that, they are just line drawings with few details. the side go together with metal bolts and heavy duty plastic nuts. They work well and it seems very sturdy and held my big cat to his satisfaction.It is definitely worth it, especially for my larger cats and especially at the 44% off price.Update: Sadly my Himalayan passed 4 years ago so that give you an idea how long I have owned mine. I just want to say that I still love them, I bought a 2nd one and have them now for a few years and they are still in great shape. I see a couple of people saying their cats noses were scratched, it is a firm plastic, but have never had a kitty injure themselves and it only takes a few seconds to make sure they haven’t sustained any damage or have anything that a cat can scratch themselves on, a quick filing can take down any rough spots if you find some, again I have not had that problem. I only use them to take my cats to the vet, but have a few cats so they do get used. I love the 24″, it is big enough that even my very large cats can turn around in them. I have had many other people at the vet’s office ask about them and where to find one. The top load is the only way to go, much better than trying to force them into the end door where they can stretch out far to make it hard to put them in. They are great crates.Update: 8 years later and both still look like new and they have transported a lot of cats to the vet and back. Best carriers I have ever owned.

Fantastic Carrier! MY FUR BABY LOVES IT!
GREAT DOG CARRIER, OR CAT CARRIER. its made well, 2 doors, one on top making it easier to put the fur baby in, and take out. The price was reasonable, door opens and shuts with no problem, color is pretty, they cant get hurt, so safety is well thought out, its not heavy so weight is good, its roomy for them, cleans up easy, no complaints here!

I bought one EXACTLY like this 17 years ago. Kid you not. These are incredibly well constructed and built to last. Terrific value and ample room for my cat. It could also be used for a small dog, but I wanted something roomy for my cat. The top loading functionality is great and very convenient. I highly recommend this carrier, itâs perfect and sturdy. The bolts that attach top to bottom of unit equal the quality of overall structure. Not flimsy in any way. I leave this out with a blanket inside so my cat is used to it being around. Not uncommon to find him sleeping in it of his own accord , itâs that comfortable for them. Great product with a great price, on sale or otherwise, itâs well worth it.

LOVE the huge top door, very easy to use & better for my cat who was ok with the front door but much less stressful using the top door. Would have been a 5 star review except the front door is a bit hard to get opened & closed, but at least I know it won’t be popping open in transit & I suspect will be a bit easier with use! My cat’s only 6lb 2oz at 2yrs old so was a great fit without being too much room especially when she went for her spay. Very easy to put together, love the screw fittings. so much more secure than clip sides & easy to remove for storage if needed. Well made, think it got some negative return reviews based on people not buying the right size, sure wasn’t on construction. Perfect to take the rescue cats for their spay/neuter appointments. Not to small that they are cramped. It is roomy but not hard or awkward to carry. Keeps them safe and secure. Very sturdy. Easy to clean!

Wonderful product! Great value for the money, and itâs super easy to set up. It took me less than 10 minutes to assemble the carrier. This pet carrier is well made and very sturdy. However, my cat is 4.5kg and doesnât fit in it at all to move around or lay comfortably 🙁 which is a real shame.

I wanted a large, hard sided crate-style carrier to take my cats together to their vet appointments (they’re litter mates so they go for their routine appointments at the same time) that they would feel more secure in than a soft sided carrier. This fit the bill nicely! I haven’t taken them to the vet in it yet (their next appointment is later this week) but I’ve practiced putting them in the carrier and carrying them around my apartment in it and they don’t seem to get as stressed out or make as many desperate efforts to get out as they have done with their soft-sided carrier. I have high hopes that future trips to the vet, though they won’t be stress free, they could be a little less rough on them. The carrier was not too hard to assemble (other than that one of the holes was not neatly drilled to the right size, but I was able to force it through by hammering it in). It’s sturdy and the doors are both secure and open and close smoothly. I haven’t had to clean it out yet, but it seems like it would be easy to clean up any messes inside thanks to the top-opening door. Happy with this purchase so far.
