Easy to install. Worked right away!
I have two cats that have decided my window frame needed widening. Since I disagreed with their assessment and communication with them has been completely ignored, I stopped talking and took action. First off, there were way more in this package than I anticipated. That being said, I am not unhappy about it. I cut these to size to rest on the windowsill and placed the planters on top of them instead of sticking because I am having replacements installed soon. (No, not because of the felines.) They cut easy even with my dull kitchen scissors, laid flat, and if I had measured differently, would overlap/stack for uninterrupted spikes. This is my first time, so itâs a learning curve, probably why they include so many in the box. They are lightweight, surprisingly pokey, and clear so itâs not that much of an eyesore. The plants rest on them without them collapsing, but they are succulents and not in huge pots. Something that will sit comfortably on a 6â windowsill. It only took an hour before the first repeat attempt at demolition occurred. It was immediately foiled! I was shocked to see a gentle touch to the spike, and then a complete 180 for the decision for destruction. The second attempt came shortly after by the second offender. This one took his time deciding if he could make it work. He found a kink in the chain. And I will be reinstalling them to overlap to prevent what the demon did. He stepped in the gap that was wider than I thought. They also fit nicely on the base of the open window and prevented him from scaling the screen to the open window! June bugs are the bane of his existence as well it would appear because he tried to get them, and was foiled again by pokeys! I want to put them everywhere now. If I thought my husband would let me, I would cover the tables with them to keep the tiny terrors off those spaces as well. Considering putting them on the couch where they think the threads need loosened. That might look way too weird for me though. I imagine they would tack into place well enough if I tried. For sure placing them on the floor around the washer and dryer, and the other window they think could use widening. If need be, would buy again!

IT WORKS!! Trust me!!
IT WORKS!!! I have a cat that has behavioral issues and would pee on the couch (girl cat) for no reason. We tried sprays, changing the litter. Took her to the vet and sheâs in perfect health. We got a new couch thinking maybe it had another catâs scent. Nope she just likes to pee on the couch. So I got these thinking it wouldnât work but itâs been 3 days and NO PEE!! I hate when my house would smell like cat pee. Got a new couch and got these spikes and no more nasty smell and no more cat peeing on couch. I could cry of happiness. Also you canât even see them too. I got the clear ones. My mom sat on them because she forgot we got themð it was funny. Would definitely get again if I need more!!

Product good, but didnât work on my delinquents.
This product is exactly as advertised. However, it did not keep my kitties off the counter. The points are spiked, but the plastic doesnât hold its shape after repeated use. May work for tender feet, but my girls are ruffians.

Great solution for pets who jump on furniture!
I donât usually write a ton of reviews, but these have been game changers. Our dogs have always been allowed on the furniture but we are getting new furniture so we were having a hard time trying to decide how we were going to keep them off of it. With these, it eliminated the problem altogether! I will say these spikes are sharp and they hurt. I think each dog has jumped up on them once each and hasnât tried to since. Itâs not enough to really injure them, but definitely sharp enough to remind them not to do it. We bought these along with a comfy new dog bed for them to get used to and so far it has been great!

Terrifyingâ¦SHARP and dangerousâ¦
Look, some folks are putting this on couches or lower surfaces, and not putting it to the edge, and not putting it to the edge of high places, so I can see that it could be great for them if they can teach the cats to fear these things.We specifically bought it to deter our 5 mos old kitten from jumping on and napping onâ¦the kitchen counters and dining table. Heâs 8 lbs (vet said heâs not overweight, just going to be big) and hasnât yet mastered the graceful landingâ¦he lands with a lot of force and a thump.My plan was to wrap this over or up to the edge so when he jumped he didnât like the feeling and would retreat. But as soon as I opened the package and touched a tip, I knew that it was unsafe for our needs. Kitty is just learning to jump from the floor up to our slightly high counters and still gaining his stability in that and if he jumped and landed ON a sharp cone, heâd 1000% impale a paw or two and weâd end up in the emergency room and who knows how much damage would get done as kitty panicked open landing.Iâd already decided to return it but when I showed my husband, his eyes went wide and he said, âWhat?! No way, send that back!âI know cats are fierce and smart, but this review is based on our personal experience in trying to find something to help with kittyâs current situation as he learned to explore.

Iâm giving 3 stars as they do work for certain cats and in certain situations but for mine it depends on where they are placed.If I place them on the floor next to the wall where he decided to urinate for the heck of it, he just walks on top of them and then pees on them.However, I do leave them on the counters at night to deter strolling and snooping. This does keep him away. Something about hitting them when he jumps up there and they slide freaks him out. So in this case, they are definitely helping him to make better choices.My son also tried them on his counters with his tabby at his apartment. Iâm told that the cat just jumps up and walks across them or sits on them with an air of âSo what?âAll in all, I do appreciate that His Majesty ð¾is not on the kitchen counters as much as before.But cats are gonna cat⦠I would say definitely try them and see if they work for yours.

I put these on top of a shag rug that my cat was doing his business on⦠He is smart enough to know that he should not walk on them and has returned to doing his business in the litter box. I will leave them out a while longer nonetheless because they are clear and donât look horrific.I have a multi cat household, and they are all smart enough to not hurt themselves on the mats. Their curiosity was piqued, and they touched them with their paws, but did not make any attempt to walk on them. Me, on the other hand, I accidentally stepped on one, and I nearly did a 360 in the air⦠Lol.

We set these up to block the babies room from cats that want to yodel the baby awake.Normally, the cats cock-a-doodle-doo at 3am. But this night was different.
