My cats love it.
My two cats love it. It is their first time eating freeze-dried treats, as well as lamb, so I was worried they wouldn’t want to eat it. But they eat it with no fuss, and treat it like how they would with their normal treats. (Excitement and longing for more.) My youngest cat tends to have tear stains, so I bought this formula for her health. It has been a week, and so far her tear stains seem less prominent.Meanwhile, my oldest cat doesn’t need this formula yet still eats them anyways. If your cat is a weirdo like mine and loves chewing on foam (he gives me anxiety all the time), this freeze-dried pet treat would be perfect for your little rascal, too, since the texture is comparable to foam. If you’ve ever eaten freeze-dried fruits before, you’d know what texture I’m talking about.I am also glad that the package listed all the ingredients on the back. I’m always apprehensive when buying vitamins or edible products online of amazon, especially for pets or small children who wouldn’t be able to tell me if something is wrong. So I did a little background check on the brand, and their main website seem trustworthy. Their products are also being sold on other online pet stores. While I wish that this tear stain remover formula was separated between dog and cat versions, as more often than not cats are more sensitive to ingredients than dogs, I think I have found a new pet brand than I can trust. I love how the brand recommends you to check with your vet if your pet’s tear stains don’t clear up, too, rather than for you to continue buying the product. This shows that the brand genuinely cares for the pet’s health, and this increases my trust in them.Some things to note is that the bag itself is a lot smaller than what I’d expected, compared to other treat bags I buy. While disappointing for the higher-than-I’m-used-to-price, I suppose it compensated for its health benefit. Also, the very first time my youngest cat tried to eat the treat, she spat it out because she was surprised by the freeze-dried treat absorbing the saliva off her tongue. She quickly got used to this, though, and she lets the treat sit in her mouth a little longer to rehydrate it before chewing as normal. (She is such a smart girl!)I am happy to say that after about a week of feeding her one treat a day, her tear residues has all gone away, without me needing to wipe her eye boogers away with a warm rag at all. She is medium-furred with no undercoat and loves to clean herself meticulously. Her mood seems to be happier now that her face feels less crusty. <3

Both cats had an allergic type reaction to these.
The first day, I gave these to only 2 of our cats. Theat day I noticed one of them sneezing and pawing at his eyes. I didn’t give them to him the 2nd day. I did give them to the other cat that didn’t seem to have a reaction to them because I did notice he had no drainage from his eyes on the first day. There was no drainage on the second day as well, but I did notice toward the end of the day his eyes were pink and puffy around the outside, but red and irritated looking at the inner corners of his eyes. He is 11 years old and not in the best of health, so I wasn’t willing to risk a third day trial after that. Negative reactions from 2 of my cats was too much for me.

Our cat is not fussy- a great relief after our last cat was extremely fussy. She likes some things better than others.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a small zipper closure bag. You cut the top off and it seals up.USE UPThis recommends using it up within a month and a half of opening it.FLAVORWe have the lamb flavorDOES SHE LIKE IT?Our cat looked mildly as she came for her treat. She took one sniff of this and her eyes got huge and she scoffed this down. She was all worked up and wanted to get more, so I had to hide the bag. She LOVES these.DO THEY HELP?That is something I can not really measure, unfortunately. She has healthy eyes, but this was to boost her eye health for the upcoming winter.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a not a big envelope for what you get. Our cat loves them though.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. This is a bit too expensive for what you get. If this came with 2 months worth, it would be a better value- like about 70 pieces. It only comes with about 35 pieces which is barely a month’s worth for a small cat. Larger cats are supposed to take 2 or 3.

My Cat Donât Approve
I was excited to give these a try. Unfortunately my cat that I purchased these for wonât eat them, maybe she is just a bit of a picky eater. So I tried to give them to my other three cats and none of them would eat them either. My last resort was to give them to my outdoor stray cats that I take care of and they all turned their nose up at them. This is a very first for me. Iâve never had ALLLL of my cats turn down a kitty treat. Maybe they will work for your cat but itâs a no go for our house.

Seems to be helping my cat
Update in 2025: After I switched to the Beef version, my cat actually really liked them. Unfortunately, the quality of each subsequent bag I purchased was erratic. He wonât even touch the treats from the most recent bag, which is a bummer since this did help his runny eye issue (and they have gone up in price). I have changed my review from 5 stars to 3.Amazon sends me each bag of treats in a plain unpadded paper mailer, so half or more of the treats are smashed in the bag during shipping. This is extremely annoying, to say the least.Original review:My cat is extremely fussy about food and treats, and he seems to instinctively shun medication, so I wasnât sure what he would do with these. One of his eyes often has tear stains, so I was hoping this could help him.Quite a few of the treats were smushed in the package, but this isnât actually a bad thing since the treats are bigger than my boyâs usual treats and I would be breaking them in half anyway. I have been giving him a few of his regular treats along with the equivalent of two of the vitamin treats. He sniffs the vitamin treats and then eats everything but those pieces, but when he realizes thatâs all thatâs left, he then does actually eat all of the pieces, which is a pleasant surprise!Weâre about a third of the way through the bag, and I do notice a bit of a difference in the appearance of the teary eye. Hereâs hoping it continues to help!
