Does its job, though our cats aren’t happy with it. They all run away as soon as they see it. Not so great for long-haired cats, but perfect for our short-haired ones. It removes the loose hairs. Easy to use. No issues.

Does work if your cat will tolerate it
My cat was a little nervous about this at first, I had to try it while giving him treats. He is a mostly white cat and sheds SO much! This grabbed a lot of fur, so much fur! I wasn’t able to do it for long, I am trying to get him more accustomed to it, but for the time I did use it, it seemed to work well. Seems well designed, easy to use and manipulate. The “brush” part is pretty soft, it was the steam that scared my kitty. For $10 at the time of this review it seems like a good value, I just need to get my cat adjusted to using it. If I can get him to the point I can do this daily, I think it will save my vacuum and my dark clothing!

Grooming Device That Turns Shedding Season Into Spa Time
Fur fell on the hardwood floor like slow-motion snow when my cat Maple began to shed in the spring. I tried vacuums, rubber gloves, and soft-bristled brushes, but none of them were effective beyond band-aid solutions. I half expected another quick refresh when I added this rechargeable steam brush to my routine three weeks ago. One button activates a soft mist, while another enables a power-assisted teeth mode that vibrates. No special cartridges are needed; the water tank fills from the spout in a matter of seconds. I called Maple in for my first try after testing the spray on my forearm for five minutes to determine its warmth and range. The soft steam dampened the hairs a little and softened the undercoat so that the hairs rose instead of floating. His typical impatience had subsided to a mixture of purring and snoring after three slow strokes. There was no need to remove the hairs from his coat because a tidy clump of fur fell out when I tipped the comb’s teeth into the trash. His wagging tail indicated to me that he liked the soft humming sound the vibrations produced, which he mistook for a massage. The brush, which is about the size of a TV remote, is comfortable to hold and has a textured underside that will grab onto your wrist if an inquisitive animal touches it. Aftercare entails wiping the handle and giving the comb head a quick rinse. I was concerned about mineral buildup in the tap water, but the nozzle hasn’t clogged after three weeks. Despite frequently switching between wide and narrow teeth, the attachment mechanism hasn’t loosened. Both pets love this 4-in-1 spray comb, which has transformed a chore into a soothing ritual that they can occasionally request by gently pushing the drawer containing the comb. The brush cleans with little effort, lasts a long time between charges, and effectively prevents fur from falling out. This small tool can lessen shedding and give each brush a little extra care if your floors appear to be a furry horizon every shedding season.

Effective – if your kitty-cats tolerate it…
Brush gets 5 stars – my cats get 1 star…The brush works great and performs exactly as described. After charging which took less than 30 minutes just add some water and it’s ready to go. The brush is quite quiet which is great for my skittish cats. Only problem is my kitties – they are impossible. We’ve been slowly working up to brushing for the last couple of weeks and we’re almost there. One of them is starting to get used to the brush, the other is still working on being brave enough.The brush (if they let me brush them) is great and works like magic. I can tell this will help with shedding if or when both of my impossible cats get used to it. My sister has a similar brush. Her cats love being brushed and the steam brush has been fantastic at keeping the shedding to a minimum.Bottom line: the brush is a bargain but if you have a selective, sensitive cat it might take time to get them used to it.
