This Pirate Skeleton is so cute!–and it works!
I really love the way the jug moves up and down…up and down. It actually works. It’s a bit pricey but as long as it works, and is a remarkable decoration for your aquarium. The sound of the bubbles is very relaxing.

Wonderful display when paired with a ship wrec!
I bought this plus a ship wreck to go with it (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002ATD1K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1). They look GREAT together, a very nice display! The skeleton is hooked to air and “drinks” from a bottle of rum, the more air flow, the faster he “drinks”. The ship and the skeleton sit on mounded sand, which helps keep both in place. This skeleton has a weight of sort attached to the bottom, but it isn’t enough to keep it from floating without the extra weight of the sand surrounding it and on top of the “rock” the skeleton sits on (the reason for docking one star). The size of this pc is a pretty good scale for the ship, which is in two pcs so looks a bit larger than it actually is. All-in-all, this makes a wonderful display when paired with a ship wreck! It gets lots of compliments, and I love it! (Will try to post picture soon.)

Best fish tank decor
Iâm a huge POTC fan, so I wanted a pirate theme fish tank. When I saw this skeleton, I instantly thought of Captain Jack Sparrow! Itâs the perfect size for any size fish tank. Itâs extremely light weight, so when itâs plugged into the bubbles, it floats to the top.. but, I set seashells on it to weigh it down, and havenât had an issue! I love the colorâit looks like it glows. Itâs definitely my favorite fish tank decor.

Easy to set up once you get the air out, entertaining.
This guy is excellent. Easy to set up, easy to get working, and very entertaining. You need an inline valve to adjust the air flow to him to get his rum-hefting just right.Other reviews have mentioned that he wants to float. If you throw him in the tank and turn him upside down before trying to set him up, there’s a lot of air trapped under the ‘rock’ that will bloop out. After that, he’s much less float-y. I also buried the rock a bit under gravel, so just him and the chest and the plants stick out, I think he looks better that way.

Too Bad.
You know the old saying, ” you get what you pay for.” Well this thing is junk for what I paid for it. I was replacing what I thought was the same as I had. (My old one just wore out.) It has no weight and really no way to anchor it down. In the aquarium world that’s a problem. My original one is also a Pen-Plax. Boy have they let their quality slip. Too Bad.

I liked the look of this air bubbler but it is very cheaply made, although quite detailed and it was broken when I received it. Definitely not worth the price of $22 which I paid. Value I would say is 50% of that.Breakage with plastic and resin products could be reduced if Amazon staff packaged them properly before shipping. Its winter, which means it is COLD and plastics break easily in cold and will require much more secure packaging and packing in the cold months! Pack items tight for pete’s sake, no movement is key and delicate items require more than a bubble mailer to protect them from crushing in the mail. This arrived packed in a bubble mailer with the product floating free inside. I knew it was broken before I opened it because I could hear rattling of plastic inside the pkg!I think this was previously returned by someone else – it did not contain the extra 4 ft of air hose nor the valve as decribed in the description. The foot was broken away from its mount on the base. The base itself I assume needs a suction cup which it did not contain – I put one on when I tried it. The air bubbles were quite large and noisy, not conducive to breaking as much aquarium surface water as it should. I played with the air volume but that made no difference to air bubble size, only slowed or increased speed of the skeleton taking a drink. perhaps it was hampered by the fact that the weenie air hose attached to it was severely crimped in 2 spots.When I dismantled it to send it back, the air hose was very difficult to disengage from the fitting on the hose attached to the item, I ended up using pliers to get it off and the fitting for hose connection came off with it and I could not get it to connect to the item hose again. It inserts INSIDE the fitting on the item end instead of outside as most air connections are made.Save your money, value is low and if you really like it and want it don’t order in cold months. Le bulleur fonctionne une fois sur deux. Il a fonctionné 2 semaines puis a arrêter. Il recommence et s’arrête a nouveau sporadiquement même si il est propre. Il a une énorme tendance a flotter, le pied n’est pas vraiment assez gros pour l’enterrer adequatement.
