Phosphate Test Strips: The phosphate test kit works great on measuring phosphate concentration in hot tubs, spas, swimming pools, etc. Provide dependable and real-time detection to maintain optimal water quality and chemical efficiency
Easy to Use: First, fill the test tube to the mark with water. Second, add 1 test strip, cap the tube and shake for 10 seconds. Third, let it stand upright for 90 seconds before removing the cap and strip. Last, compare the water’s hue to the color chart
Fast & Accurate Result: Test range: 0-2500 ppb. The pool test strips are highly sensitive to detect even low levels of phosphate. And the easy-to-read color chart helps you instantly interpret the test results. Rapidly uncover water problems in minutes
Regular Test: The hot tub water testing kit contains 50 strips in total – sufficient for regular testing. Effectively help maintain the chemical balance in water, ensuring a safe, clean and inviting soak every time
Reliable Material: Made of reliable fiber paper, the phosphate testing strips always provide trustworthy results without color bleeding. Also ideal for aquatic facilities or environments like water parks, ponds, freshwater or saltwater aquariums and so on

Gets a general idea, but not too accurate
I recently discovered my pool phosphate levels were quite high, and I’ll explain more about that and how to find out below.I got these test strips so that I can keep an eye on my pool phosphate levels from time to time instead of relying on asking the local pool supply store for an additional test, since they don’t generally do phosphate tests unless asked specifically to do so. I just like to monitor and log my own levels every week and take care of things on a regular basis so they never get out of hand, but I missed phosphates.Sadly these strips aren’t too accurate in comparison to the ones I’ve seen online and at the local pool store, and for possibly a good reason… The tube that you do the test in and have to look through, it has an air gap at the bottom, so the bottom of the tube never makes full contact with the comparison area and thus casts a shadow making the colors appear darker or lighter depending on how the light is hitting the sides. At one angle it looks like my currently corrected and pool supply tested phosphate levels are below 100ppm, which is what they are according to the pool store, but at another angle it looks like it’s over 1,000ppm, this is while looking straight down as instructions dictate.Having a good white light coming in at close to straight down as possible yields the best results, but is difficult because my big head often gets in the way.So, these can work, but you need to be careful with the light angle. As far as a good indication your phosphate levels are too high, and how I learned of it… If your salt pool never seems to have enough chlorine even though all your salt and cyanuric acid levels are fine and cell is running fine, check your phosphate levels. Everything about my pool chems were exactly where they needed to be but it couldn’t retain chlorine at all, and it was all due to high phosphate levels. Lesson learned, and hopefully this will help someone else.

Accurate and Easy to Read, but Limited in Scope
This test is a significant improvement over using strips alone. One major issue with strips is that the color can sometimes concentrate around the edges of the test box, especially where the darker outline meets the lighter interior, making it tricky to match the hue accurately with the comparison chart. In contrast, this test provides a more consistent and uniform result. Since the entire vial of water becomes a single, solid color without any uneven accumulation, it’s much easier to interpret the results and get an accurate reading. I personally find this method much more reliable and straightforward compared to strips. The only drawback is that it tests just one aspect of the water chemistry at a time, whereas most strips can measure around seven parameters simultaneously. This makes it less convenient if you’re looking to get a complete water profile quickly, but it’s worth the tradeoff if you value precision and ease of use.

Does not work
This process is not accurate at all. It simply does not work. It’s a huge rip off, way too expensive for what it is. It is not easy to use. Poor quality, inaccurate, terrible. I want to return these, but I can’t.

Provided similar results as pool store testing
I’ve been doing my own pool maintenance for a couple of years now. About a year ago, I had some trouble keeping my saltwater pool chemistry at the required levels. I was also seeing some algae growth. After some research and lots of testing, I found that the phosphate levels in the pool were way too high. So, I treated my pool to get rid of the phosphates. Now, my pool is well balanced again. But I would like to stay ahead of problems routinely checking for phosphates. I ordered these Pawfly Phosphate Test Strips to help me do that. I used the test strips after receiving my order and it showed little to no phosphates. That is the result that I was hoping to see as I treated the pool for phosphates only a few days ago. As a double check, I took a water sample to my pool store for testing, and they found similar results. Hopefully, through routine testing with these test strips I will be able to see if the phosphates begin to increase. Then I can act accordingly. These strips appear to give similar results as the pool store. So, from my perspective they are working as they should. I would recommend these to family and friends.

Test provided helpful information on the viability of our pool water prior to closing
The Pawfly Phosphate Test Strips worked as advertised! We are closing up the pool this week, and will begin the process of covering and winterizing. One of the pieces I was curious about was the level of phosphates in the pool water, as I was told anything over 300 is usually an indicator that the pool water needs to be changed. I was relieved to find that our phosphate level is 100 or below, making wintering a viable option for us this year. Test was easy to use, and easy to interpret based on the helpful scale on the side of the bottle. Having the test vial was also very helpful to ensure the test strip was thoroughly saturated with pool water. I plan to use these same strips with our hot tub later this week.

Easy way to check phosphate
Easy to use, and works well. Use is a little different from most test strips- You let the strip sit in the water for 90 seconds after a 10 second shake. Then remove the test strip, and compare the left over water color (not the strip) to the reference colors.
