Customers say
Customers find the protective sleeve easy to use and appreciate its quality, with one noting it works better than cut-up tube socks. However, the product receives mixed feedback about its effectiveness, with some saying it works great while others report it doesn’t work well. Moreover, the size is problematic as it’s too small for large dogs, and customers report issues with the sleeve sliding down and not staying in place. Additionally, the product doesn’t stretch, and customers consider it not worth the money.

Protects injured area from biting and licking
Note that these donât come with recommendations or instructions, however once figuring out how (I think) they are intended to be used, these were incredibly helpful for my catâs recovery. Her rear foot was wrapped by the vet, and this cover slid on over the bandage so it stayed clean and could be fairly easily changed (as much as possible with an injured animal). This bandage pulls on to cover part or all of the injury (depending on size needed), then you pull the remaining portion over top (turning it inside out) to create a soft yet snug cover over top. Keep in mind that they do slide on like a sock when choosing a size – you want them to be small enough to stay in place but not so tight that it is painful to put on (S worked well for me). These do stretch a bit which helps when putting them on, and they retain their size without slipping off during use. Most importantly, they protected the bandage from her many attempts to chew/lick/pull it off. Highly recommend.

Not Worth The Money – Arrived Ripped and Measurments are off!
There were several of the coverings that were ripped in half upon arrival. In addition, the measurements must be off. I measured exactly how it said to measure in the description and the cover slunk down to my dogs paw in less than a minute. I’ve got a huge dog with giant legs, so this definitely shouldn’t have happened with the size I chose. I figured they would work fine because it was a pain in my *** to get them on in the first place for them to fall right off. Overall, totally not worth the money.

Not great
I didn’t think these worked well at all. They did not fit my dog, very tight. Good concept but very hard to try and put on.

Great product to cover a wound without pressure
I purchased both the medium and small bandage covers as I wasn’t sure what size my dog would need as she is in between sizes. My dog has a lick granuloma on her back right leg. I can’t wrap it with gauze and tape as this causes her foot to swell. I thought to give these a try. I also bought the bandages to use under the cover. I started with medium size but found it slipped down the leg. I changed to the small size and it held longer. I’m sad to say that she managed to work the cover and bandage off so that she could lick. I love these and will keep them around and hope I can get her to leave her spot alone long enough for it to heal. What I loved the most is that it doesn’t cause pressure or swelling in her leg. Great idea and product, but maybe not for my dog.

Better than vet wrap!
I purchased PawFlex Protective Sleeve Tubular Cover to cover a sebaceous cyst on my dog’s front leg. He has been licking this area and I can’t afford to have the cyst removed right now. The vet recommended covering the cyst so he can’t lick it. I was using vet wrap but it kept sliding down his leg. The PawFlex cover seems to stay up and doesn’t stick to his fur. They can be washed and reused. I’ve noticed that they tend to stretch out a little and then they slide down his leg. Then I have to tape it to his fur. But I still prefer this cover to vetwrap. I don’t think it’s as hot on his leg. These are really easy to use. I highly recommend them!

Functional but could be Tighter
Functional and Easy to Use and dog didn’t mind it so much which was genius. But it does tend to slide down and doesn’t stay in place very long. I have a large lab and even so it wasn’t tight enough. Stretches out and loses shape quickly. That said, it’s the best product I’ve found for this purpose and price is right.

Does not stay on if placing over a joint
My 60lb dog had a tumor removed by his left knee. The wound kept opening from the bending of his knee. I thought this may help, but it didnât stay on. This could be good for a wound not on a joint, but I do not recommend if any part of the bandage would be in an area that bends.
