Wonderful Reptile Hides
I use these in my snakeâs enclosures and they work great. The largest size accommodates my 7 ft. boa constrictor perfectly. Corn snake has a large and the ball python is in a medium at the moment. Well made, affordable, hides. Highly recommend.

My snakes love these
Okay, so these are not as aesthetically pleasing as the heavy rock hides, but they are better in every other conceivable way. The smooth surfaces are much easier to clean, no sharp edges, & they are light enough that I don’t have to worry about a snake picking one up partially & then dropping it on his tail or something dumb like that. The opaque black means that these are very dark & my snakes feel secure in them, & the plastic is way sturdier than it looks. I ordered several D-large ones for my cornsnakes & (male) ball pythons & every single snake has decided that they prefer these over the rock hides. Their rock hides are dead to them ever since I gave them these. I will almost certainly be ordering more.
Bulb burned out awfully fast!! I only had it 1 month and now forced to buy another.. Wouldn’t buy or recommend it to other’s. –

HUGE!!!
I bought the Large, and apparently when I looked at the dimensions, I should have actually gotten out a tape measure to see exactly how big it is. I have an 8 month old ball python who is way too big for his other hides, so I wanted to get something big enough that he could grow into. But this hide is seriously MASSIVE. I put it in with him, and I’ll see how he does. I may section it off with cardboard to make the hide space smaller for now. I’ll still rate a 5, because the dimensions are correct, I should have just paid careful attention! I suggest anyone else considering buying this does the same, this large hide is over a foot long, crazy BIG. I included a picture with a water bottle on top for reference.

We purchased the Large (D) Hide box for our ball python, she is 3 1/2 feet long and 1771 grams. This might be a tad bit big for her only because ball pythons prefer cramped hide spaces and like to be pressed against the sides of whatever they are hiding in to feel safe. It works and she has been using it, but I think a medium might have been a better choice for her. Although, I think that for any other species of snake her size, this hide would be perfect; with some room to grown. To give you a perspective on size, her enclosure is 18 inches wide and 36 inches long….this thing covers most of one side of her enclosure. That being said, my hide box falls a little short in size from the sizes listed on the description of the D size hide box. The size listed states it is 13.25″x9″x3.25″ while mine measures 11 3/4″ x 7 5/8″ x 3 1/4″ while the”door” or entrance measures 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. The hide is nice overall and my snake appreciates it, however, I noticed that it warped rather quickly once I put it in her enclosure (with an ambient temp of 84-86). Not a big deal, my snake doesnt seem to care either way, but that tells me these aren’t made like they use to be made. Plastic must be cheaper/thinner. Overall it works, I would purchase it again.

I don’t have a photo of her using it but my 4 foot ball python is very happy with her new hide ð fits her snug enough to feel secure but with enough room for her to grow. She’d probably still fit if she was almost 5 foot but any larger and I’ll need a larger size ð
