Install in a Ceramic Socket
Use a high quality fixture with a ceramic socket to ensure that heat does not damage the fixture. Cheap plastic fixtures can melt from the heat.

Pangea heat bulbs are designed specifically for USA outlets and voltage. Outlets and voltage from other regions can overload the bulb.
Add a Protective Screen

This heat lamp was perfect for our chameleonâs enclosure. It was easy to set up and was giving our chameleon the perfect temperature to bask in. The overall experience with this heat lamp is worth the money. Would buy again!

Did not adequately heat tank.
I have three reptiles that I battle every single winter keeping their tank up to temperature so that they do not go into hibernation or bromination. These are recommended to me but even with a wooden enclosure it struggle to keep the temperature higher than 70. Most times when I would have a ceramic heat with these I would be lucky to get to 70 degrees in the wooden enclosures. This is honestly not worth the money if you live in a cold environment that gets below 60 as any temperature below 60 it will struggle to keep your enclosure adequately warm.

Comparable to Arcadia Halogen Bulbs
Only a week in, so I can’t speak to the longevity of these bulbs yet, but they feel very solid. They create a very wide and very HOT basking spot. Currently running the 50W about 10 inches away and getting temps of 120 to 130F. It does take a few hours to reach those numbers, but with that even heating, burns should be non existent. Highly recommend!

Don’t look any further! This is the bulb you need if you have a bearded dragon. I have never seen my beardie be more active and look so natural. She loves it!

Not dimmable
I have this in a zoomed dimmable Dome not only does the light not dim it doesn’t turn off with the switch either and I know it’s not my Dome because any other heating element or light I put in it works as it should pretty disappointed this product isn’t dimmable and I can’t even turn it off without unplugging my whole Dome which is going to shorten the lifespan of the bulb I will not be buying again
