It works great. For Pete’s sake, THE POWDER GOES INTO THE DRUM
If you have a stinky washing machine and/or if you feel like your clothes aren’t smelling fresh after they’re washed, buy this product because it fixes that.Some comments re: the folks giving this a low rating because:1) The product clumps in your HE washer’s liquid detergent dispenser – Well, per Step 2 on the package (see my photo), this is a powder cleaner that is supposed to be dumped directly into the drum. Don’t worry about it falling into the little holes. It’s gonna be okay; it’s gonna do what it was designed to do. If you put it in your HE washer’s liquid dispenser, you didn’t follow the instructions, & it’s gonna clump up and not work as advertised.2) The product’s odor – well, the drain pipe on my HE washer smelled like raw sewage (wife’s words) when I started a wash cycle. I thought a “washer cleaner” was a little silly (aren’t I cleaning it every time I run a load of wash?), but I have seen the light. After several years of use and literally hundreds (if not 1000+) of washes, the drain pipe smelled like rotten eggs and my wife wanted to call a plumber because the smell was so bad she thought our house’s drain was backed up. I do the laundry in the house, and I’m cheap, so I thought I’d try a cleaner first, and this OxiClean cleaner resolved the odor AFTER ONE TREATMENT. I use dye- and odor-free detergent, so I’m not a total fan of its fragrance (side note: do y’all who use detergent with scents actually LIKE smelling like Gain or Tide all day, like it’s some sort of cologne/perfume? This confuses and fascinates me, but I digress…), but it goes away after a wash or two. My washer no longer smells like sewage, and we didn’t have to hire a plumber, so I’m grateful for an inexpensive and effective fix.My washer stopped smelling like American politics after I used this product. In fact, it went to having no odor at all, which is what I wanted. I followed the instructions and used it once/week for 3 weeks just to ensure I truly got all of the stank out, and I believe I have, so I’m thrilled. Not sure a once/month cleaning is necessary, since I went years without cleaning my washer, and because I’m cheap, but I think I’ll probably use this seasonly/quarterly to prevent “THE SMELL” from returning to home. If you finish reading this review and still put this powder cleaner in your liquid dispenser, you should run for office because you’ll likely win… but I won’t vote for ya.

Almost Perfect, Still Had to Supplement
This product did a great job of tackling a really nasty odor issue we were having with our washing machine. The smell was seriously bad, and after using the first pouch, the improvement was dramatic. It got rid of about 90% of the funk, and the drum looked noticeably cleaner.âHowever, it didn’t completely eliminate the problem. I still had to run a follow-up vinegar wash to get rid of the remaining odor. For the amount of cleaning power it provided and the sheer size of the problem, I’d say it’s an excellent product, but it’s not a complete one-and-done solution for a deep-seated odor. It’s a great first line of attack, but you might need to supplement it with a second wash.

I’ve tried the more ‘popular’ tub cleaner which seems to be “Amazon’s choice” and I definitely prefer this one. The OxiClean smell actually makes the washer smell clean. It doesn’t leave the whitish residue that the more popular tub cleaner does. Even after washing 15 cycles, the clean, fresh smell is evident. This is also slightly less money per packet.I don’t use this every tub clean cycle but I alternate with plain water and then this tub cleaner. It keeps my washer in tip top shape and keeps the mold and mildew at bay.

The product worked so well for me that it spurred out chunks of lint whatever else nasty that was inside our washing machine, which eventually clogged our drain pipe. Iâm happy the fix the drain outside knowing that my washing machine is now cleaner inside.

El producto limpia correctamente, si previamente uno limpia el filtro de la lavadora y también posteriormente al uso del limpiador, cualquier aroma indeseable se eliminara y quedará el aroma a limpio del producto y durará más tiempo. La frecuencia dependera directamente del uso que se le de a la lavadora, para un equipo de 1 lavada cada 2 semanas, aplique el tratamiento cada 2 meses y funciona muy bien, luego lo repetà cada año.

I tried cleaning with baking soda and normal clothing detergent before this arrived and the water that collected in the pail was pretty clear. When this arrived a few days later, I tried it and there was quite a bit of dirt that collected in the pail of water. It definitely does a better job than baking soda and detergent, but as to how good a job it does, I cannot say unless I remove the drum.
