Our favorite for our hamster.
This bedding is great. Itâs extremely soft and expands a lot. You get way more than what it looks like youâll get. It has no smell which is great for hamsters. Cleans up easy and is very absorbent.

Safe for Mice
Good price, good quality, and safe for sensitive small animals.I use it in my “mouse house,” and my 3 mooshkas love to dig around, stuff it in their nests, and build tunnels with this bedding. Its soft, odorless and absorbent with very low dust particles. Safer than pine and cedar wood chips/shavings which can be poisonous to mice, and softer than pellet bedding. I like the natural color more than white paper bedding.This pack of bedding is compact, but loosens up nicely and lasts a long time. Theres enough material for more than a dozen changes. Our mouse house is a 10 gallon fish tank with about 4 inches of bedding per change, 2-3 complete changes per month, and the pack lasts about 6 months.

This is the best guinea pig bedding ours is not litter trained but compared to other brands this is the only one that works to absorb best.

Amazing expanding bedding
Looks can be deceiving. Normally I fill the base of my hamsters cage 3/4 full of her precious brand of paper bedding and maybe it would expand a little. I did that with this stuff and by the end of the week it expanded to the point where I had to dig out her wheel.Great odor control, my hamster seems to like sleeping in it, and way less dust than her old bedding. Just be careful how much you put in! Now I go about half way and by the end of the week it fills the cage only loosely.

Freeze Before Use
Switched to Oxbow paper bedding after trying tons of wood shavings and paper for my rats. They didnât like the wood that a lot of rat owners swear by and the shavings wound up in my laundry which would stick to things terribly. I found that the rats would hang out on the bottom of the cage much more with this bedding, itâs soft and low dust, and I have a uti-prone rat so a white, absorbent bedding helped to see when she needed treatment. Stick it in your freezer for at least 24 hours before using to kill any potential mites that affect rodents and are invisible to the human eye. I didnât have any issues for 2 years until one of my rats started scratching all the time, losing hair and developing tiny scabs. I stripped the cage, thoroughly cleaned everything with borax and got a kitten dose of Revolution from my vet. Iâve remembered to freeze the bedding and havenât had issues since.

Works but thereâs better
This was on sale so I decided to try it. It works as expected. Itâs soft so comfortable on my rats feet. It cleans up easily but does not cover smells well. It poofs up quite a bit when wet so not easy to use and gauge how much is needed. The white color is aesthetically pleasing and the cost for the size of the bag was good. Not sure if Iâd pay full price for this product but If it was on sale for a good price Iâd probably buy it again even if it means having to clean more often.

I recently bought Supreme Petfoods Tiny Friends Farm Eco Friendly bedding, and even though the price is slightly lower, it was a TERRIBLE choice as it smells really strongly, and my hamster was very unhappy in it. I bought this product straight after, and it’s a world apart. It doesn’t smell, it’s clean and fluffy and the hamster (Finsbury Hamilton) loves to burrow in it. It also folds out to 3x as much, one of these lasts me 3x changes of the cage. Highly recommended.

Doesnt really smell of much. It is quite a big more compacted than my usual Carefresh. I clean my animals every 3 days so couldnt really comment on the absorbency. This pack did 4 large cages. Excellent value for money.
