HOW IT WORKS:
The exact reason that these aquarium pebbles can give off light in darkness is that they can absorb and store light, either natural or artificial, especially visible light of wavelength under 450 NM.
When in darkness, these glowing rocks give off light that is visible and fairly bright during the first 2-3 hours. Then they became less and less bright as there is no light around for them to absorb. The dim afterglow can last 8-10 hours.
How much the glow is visible at some degree depends on how dark the surrounding is, the darker the more glow can be seen.
When there is visible light around, these luminous fish tank rocks begin another circle of absorbing-giving off light .
Actually these aquarium pebbles give off light at the daytime too, but only far less visible as in darkness.
So, when you first receive these rocks, they might not glow in darkness, because they might have given off all light they absorbed in dark package box. Put them under light sources for 5-10 minutes, they glow in complete darkness again.
In theory, these luminous fish tank stones can function for up to 15 years.
Tips:
The darker the surrounding and the more exposure to visible light, the more bright glow can be seen.
When applying these glow pebbles, do not stack them on top of each other but spread them out flat for full exposure to light.
These glow in the dark pebbles are light up by solar or LED light.
They’ll still glow even when the sun isn’t strong.
If the light is too dark, the stone may not absorb enough energy, which will affect its brightness.

I have to start out they are exactly as described & if thats what your looking for then go for it. If u have a plain tank with no real plants or anything they are fine. They glow amazing. However if u have real plants & ornaments i would stay clear. They blow all over the bottom. They dont ever stay where u put them. When u gravel vac they go right up and take forever to get out especially when u want to vacuum ur tank & get done. They collect n sit in all the algae. Get stuck in your plants and stunt the growth. Super cute for a plain kids tank but not for any kind of planted tank

You think 1 bag is a lot until you put them in the tank I had to buy another bag, but they do glow in the dark after a little bit, in this video thatâs 2 little bags of rocks, but my big fish has moved them all to basically one pile.

Dry cute and appropriate size for my betta tank. I added them and had the light on for no More than 5 mins and they started glowing soon after. They definitely make a better appearance. Donât mind my tank itâs in the cycle process.
