Works great and is cost effective
I was really hesitant in buying a spray for my lawn to eradicate the insects, but I tried all of the other options and they just didnât work. I purchased this and it was super easy to use just hooked it up to the hose and sprayed it in the yard. I didnât even use half of a bottle because the size of my backyard and the mosquitoes and gnats and flies have vanished. It has rained multiple times and so far the bug situation has been under control. I donât have any animals that go outside, so Iâm not sure how safe it is For that.

Kills bugs, and does it effectively. Good way to get rid of moles (read why)
This stuff works! I have been using it for a year now, applying about every 4 months. I noticed that there are rarely bugs of any kind crawling around my yard, or garden. It also kills grubs, so moles have nothing to eat, and moved away. Application requires a hand spreader, or broadcaster of some type. I use a grass seed hand spreader and that works perfectly. After applying the granular material, you need to heavily water it in, so it gets down into the soil. That kills off all kinds of creepy crawlies that dwell in your soil, lying in wait to wreak havoc. It has no noticeable smell. Iâd say that itâs easy to use, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Itâs a good size bag, and covers a lot of area. Ortho seems to be a pretty reliable brand of pest control, so itâs a quality product in my opinion. Iâve used other pest control products, and they didnât seem to work. This stuff does, and it lasts for months! Iâve even note that there are less mosquitoes, and flying bugs. But the bees still come around, and thatâs important to me. Bees are a crucial part of our ecosystem, and I donât want to effect them in any way. I think Iâve covered all the bases. Seems to help with mosquitos – sprayer did not leak is weak with no width or distance control.
I’ve tried all sorts of hose sprayers for anything from crickets in the bushes under the window to mosquitos in the perimeter area. Recently moved to a humid environment where mosquitos are a serious burden for half the year. Can end up with 1-5 bites in a matter of minutes some days. So I spray down the stairway outside my door, walkway and yard edge where the pesky bugs like to hang out the most.This Ortho spray doesn’t smell as strong as other brands, but it does appear to work with far less mosquitos buzzing around as I saturated the zone pretty well – front sidewalk, outside stairs, upper deck and lawn edge. The sprayer bottle output is awful !! Mine didn’t leak but it only sprayed about 10 feet out and 5 feet wide with zero option to adjust. I have a wood outdoor stairway that needs spraying and the Ortho bottle wouldn’t even make it up halfway up the the height from the ground. Unlike other sprays, the Ortho does not leave a noticeable toxic sheen behind, which can sometimes be irritating to the skin if touched weeks later … Does that mean it won’t last as long or isn’t doing its job? Guess we’ll see.All in all it seems like a decent mosquito bug repellent, but the disposable bottle sprayer mechanism needs a huge upgrade.

Takes care of gnats in my yard
Ortho BugClear Insect Killer works great! It was easy to mix and spray, and I saw results within a dayâbugs disappeared fast without harming my lawn or plants. Every time I would mow the gnats would swarm me. One application kept them away for weeks, and a little goes a long way. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting an effective, long-lasting yard treatment.

It will make all ants move but does not kill
Does not kill, but they moved out of the yard lol. Have to watee it per instructions within 24 gours or will. Not work at all

Some insects were unaffected by product.
After using this product, some decrease in insects was noticeable. Other insects were unaffected. Less crickets, all the white flying insects are still thriving. A re-treatment in spring will make or break this product for me. I seem to have had better results from a competitor brand.

AWESOME PRODUCT! Saved my plants!
First time doing plants for me. My mother in law recommend I have type of bug prevention on hand. I potted Elephant Ears, they were doing great then I noticed the holes in the leaves! I was so upset to see the beetles were taking up residence in my plants! Immediately I used this in all of my pots and watered it into the soil. Next day….. no more beetles! Have not had any more issues and it has been over a week. We also used this around our crab apple tree since the beetles thought they could live there as well. This is a great product, easy to use (just wear gloves) and I used a plastic disposable cup to add the product to the soil all the way around the soil in the pots. HIGHLY RECOMMED!
