    amazing price
These coco coir bricks are amazing for repotting and seed starting. They expand so much once you add water, and the texture is perfect — light, fluffy, and holds moisture really well without getting soggy. I used them as part of my soil mix with perlite and bark, and my plants are loving it. It’s also great that it’s organic and free from chemicals. Each brick goes a long way, and the packaging was neat and compact. Great quality for the price!

    Space saving compressed coir
Worked well for me. Be forewarned it is a little dusty – not a criticism, it is the nature of the product. I placed a portion of the coir in a plastic tub and broke the portion off away from my face. The fact that it is compressed and you add water to constitute works for me as I used what I needed and stored the remainder in a plastic zip lock bag.

GREAT STUFF, won’t be going back to potting soil anytime soon
I live in a tiny apartment in public housing. Carrying dirt home from a hardware store isn’t really convenient; especially with wonky elevators! I tell you this stuff is GREAT. One brick fills a small pot, my plants are LOVING IT. I’m growing prickly pear, sweet potatoes & ginger and they are all thriving like you would not believe (I use Jobe’s plant spikes too but even without the Jobe’s the plants were doing quite well!).Yeah from now on I will only use this stuff, no reason to use dirt when this is available, and this stuff holds together nicely doesn’t blow around out on the porch! I’m quite chuffed about this product.

Great for starter plants growing new roots.
This is the first time trying Coco Coir as a medium. 1 brick makes a decent amount, however its more expensive than potting soil for the same amount. I likes that it was fluffy and soft once it dried and it doesn’t seem to pack down around the roots like regular potting soil does. I like this especially for started plants establishing new roots.

    Great as seed starters! I
Great as seed starters! I used these for my flowers that I grew from seeds, and they seem to work well. Be careful not to add too much water, or they’ll get muddy and gross.

    If you need small amounts
While not a huge package (it is four brick-sized…bricks) if you are making potting mix it works well. It was easy to crumble up, unlike some other brands. I found it on Amazon Haul, so it was for a good price.

    How to use Coco Coir
Warning: Coco coir holds many nutrients, but these nutrients are embedded deep into the mixture that your plants might not get. So you should always soak your coco before planting. While some types of coco coir, like bricks, require pre-soaking. These products do not tell you that if you do not soak the tannins in the coco coir will stunt the growth of your plant or kill them because of the tannins. I was curious and found videos explaining this on info on YouTube

I recently acquired a beautiful and fragrant Jasmine. First thing I did when I got it home was to read how to properly care for it including the type of soil is preferable. Coconut coir came up the most frequently in my searches, and so I will be transplanting it using a light, porous soil with this product.I am SO delighted to finally own a Jasmine and love the fragrance!

I was not expected it would be so great honestly. I tried with hot or warm water which was better outcome for me. It became more fluffy and more soil. So far so good.
